Britton Moore, a 21-year-old singer from San Antonio, earned a four-chair turn on The Voice season 27 with his blind-audition performance of Coldplay’s “Yellow.” Adam Levine turned first, followed by John Legend and Kelsea Ballerini; Michael Bublé turned after listening longer. Moore chose Team Adam.
Who sang Coldplay’s “Yellow” on The Voice?
Moore performed “Yellow” during the season 27 blind auditions. The episode aired on February 10, 2025, and contemporaneous coverage identified him as a 21-year-old from San Antonio. The North East Independent School District’s alumni profile identifies him as a 2022 Reagan High School graduate.
How the four-chair turn happened
A four-chair turn means all four coaches turn their chairs during a blind audition, signaling that they want the singer on their team. According to Martin Holmes’s February 11, 2025, account for TV Insider, Levine turned seconds into Moore’s performance. Legend and Ballerini followed, while Bublé waited to hear more before turning.
Afterward, Levine praised Moore’s falsetto. As reported by Jim Kiest in the San Antonio Express-News on February 11, 2025, Levine said, “When I heard you go into your falsetto, I was like, ‘OK, I need to coach this guy,’ ” and added, “There was definitely something in your voice that reminded me of how I do it.” Those were Levine’s comments as a coach; the Express-News identifies him as Maroon 5’s lead singer.

Why Moore chose Team Adam
Moore selected Levine after the coaches made their pitches. In a North East Independent School District alumni profile, Moore said he believed Levine could give him a strong song choice and that he related to Levine musically. He also pointed to Levine’s experience on the show and a similarity in their approach to artistry. The district profile confirms Moore’s team choice and identifies the four coaches.
What led Moore to audition
In a February 26, 2025, San Antonio Express-News report by Deborah Martin, Moore’s path to auditioning was described as having been delayed by football and baseball commitments at Reagan High School. He had wanted to audition earlier, but stepped back when the opportunity conflicted with those commitments. This is reported background, not evidence that he had previously auditioned and been rejected.

This is Moore’s 2025 audition, not another Coldplay performance
Moore’s “Yellow” audition was a season 27 moment that aired in February 2025. It is separate from other performances of Coldplay songs on the show; for example, search results surface season 5 contestant Holly Henry singing “The Scientist.” The reference for that earlier performance is fan-maintained, so it is not a basis for ranking the two auditions.
