TMZ reported on November 12, 2024, that Britney Spears was scheduled to send Kevin Federline a final $10,000 child-support payment on November 15, after paying another $10,000 earlier that month. The report described a planned transfer; it does not independently establish that the payment cleared, and the reported terms have not been confirmed here by a publicly reviewed court order.

What TMZ reported about the final payment

TMZ said Spears had made a $10,000 payment at the beginning of November 2024 and was scheduled to make a second, final $10,000 transfer on November 15. The report attributed the details to people with direct knowledge. It is evidence of what was reported as planned, not a bank record or independent confirmation of completion.

TMZ described the cutoff as tied to Jayden finishing high school. The precise terms of the underlying order or agreement were not available in the reviewed accounts, so the date and payment arrangement should be treated as reported terms rather than as independently verified court findings.

Why payments reportedly continued after Jayden turned 18

In a September 12, 2024 report, TMZ said the arrangement continued beyond Jayden’s eighteenth birthday until he graduated from high school, whichever came later. It reported that he was expected to graduate in November. That account explains why the reported cutoff was later than his birthday; it does not establish a general rule about when child support ends.

How the reported amounts changed over time

Period Reported amount or change Source and qualification
2007 $20,000 per month, increased from $15,000 Courthouse News Service reported this figure for the custody settlement in 2007.
2018 Increase from $20,000 to $40,000 per month TMZ later reported this change retrospectively.
After Sean Preston turned 18 $20,000 per month TMZ reported that the monthly amount returned to this level.
November 2024 Two reported payments of $10,000 each TMZ reported one payment early in the month and a final transfer scheduled for November 15; it did not independently document that the scheduled transfer cleared.

These figures refer to different points in the reported arrangement and should not be read as one unchanged monthly rate. The November payments were described as two separate $10,000 transfers, not as a new recurring monthly amount.

Did all financial support end?

Not necessarily. Music Times, in a November 13, 2024 article, quoted Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan as saying that other categories of expenses Spears had volunteered to cover could continue after regular recurring support ended. The article said the agreement’s specifics were not disclosed. It therefore does not establish that any particular additional expense was required or that Spears actually paid it.

What is known about the family context

In June 2024, Kaplan told Entertainment Tonight that reconciliation was difficult and lengthy, and said there had been telephone communication between Spears and her sons. That statement provides relationship context; it does not confirm the child-support terms, the final transfer, or the family’s circumstances after the interview.
