He later replied to one of her Stories, which featured her daughter, and they began messaging before exchanging phone numbers and having long FaceTime calls.

After a week or two of calls, Mandrell mentioned she had tickets to see Tenacious D in Nashville. Bowers bought a ticket and flew there to meet her in person. He described an immediate connection. The available accounts place their early conversations in late summer or early fall 2023, but do not give a precise date for their first conversation or first date.
When they started dating—and when Bachelor Nation found out
Bowers said they were not officially a couple before a conversation that followed his boat accident and rescue. He called Mandrell, told her he loved her, and then asked her to be his girlfriend. He did not give a precise date for that conversation.

The public learned about the relationship on December 7, 2023, during the Bachelor in Paradise season 9 finale. The show announced that Bowers was dating Mandrell, but they did not meet or begin their relationship on the series. The finale was their public debut, not necessarily their dating anniversary. Bowers proposed at The Golden Wedding, the televised wedding event for Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. Bachelor Nation’s January 12, 2024 recap described the proposal as having happened the previous week. The engagement came only weeks after the couple’s public reveal.

January 2024: plans to live in Nashville
At the time, reports said Bowers was arranging to transfer his nursing license and move from California to Nashville, where he would live with Mandrell and her daughter. Their plans were reported in Us Weekly’s timeline coverage.
December 12, 2024: private wedding
The couple married in a small ceremony on December 12, 2024, with Mandrell’s daughter present. They announced the marriage publicly on January 21, 2025, through Bachelor Nation.

How long have they been together?
The evidence supports an approximate answer, not an exact dating-duration calculation: Bowers and Mandrell started connecting after his filming stint in 2023, by late summer or early fall, and married about 15 months after their December 7, 2023 public debut. Because the start of their conversations and the date they officially became a couple are not pinned down, the public debut should not be treated as a confirmed first-day-of-dating date.

Bachelor Nation reported their first wedding anniversary in December 2025 and reproduced Mandrell’s Instagram caption: “One year married to you, my favorite human. Happy anniversary 🤍 12.12.24.” That is a dated confirmation of their anniversary celebration, not a real-time status check. Bachelor Nation’s anniversary report is the latest cited account of their marriage.

In May 2026, Reality TV World reported that the couple were trying for a baby and that Mandrell clarified she was not pregnant at that time. The report was based on her Instagram Stories; it was not a pregnancy announcement. Reality TV World’s report is a dated update, not confirmation of their status on October 4, 2026.
