Bobby Hill returns as an adult chef in the King of the Hill revival. The image that first drew attention to his grown-up look circulated on social media in October 2024; later promotion confirmed the revival’s premise and its Hulu premiere date of August 4, 2025.
What the first look showed
In October 2024, an image of adult Bobby Hill circulated in a social-media post attributed to voice actor Grey DeLisle. Contemporary coverage presented it as a first look at the revival and described Bobby as grown up and working as a chef. The originating post has not been independently verified here, so it is more accurate to call this an early social-media reveal than Hulu’s first official still. The Daily Dot’s contemporary report covered the image.

What changes in the revival
The original King of the Hill followed Bobby as a child. The revival moves the family forward: Bobby is an adult chef, while Hank and Peggy are retired. They return to Arlen after working abroad and find a town that has changed. That premise puts the family’s familiar relationships in a different stage of life. Revival coverage describes the setup.
Release and production
Hulu promoted the revival as season 14, with a ten-episode premiere on August 4, 2025. That date has passed. The original series ran for 13 seasons on Fox from 1997 to 2010, according to coverage of the original show.
