That was not the home’s earlier reported $2.75 million listing price from October 2024; the coverage does not explain when or how the asking price changed.
What sold, and for how much?
TMZ reported on January 12, 2025, that Berk’s four-bedroom, 2,924-square-foot home sold for $2.5 million. The outlet said the closing took place Friday, January 10, and characterized the amount as the full asking price in effect at the time of sale. TMZ attributed transaction details to real-estate sources; the coverage cited here does not include a deed or other primary transaction record.
The phrase “full asking price” needs that timing context. TMZ had reported an initial $2.75 million list price in October 2024, with Nadine Guyaux of Redfin Premier holding the listing. The available reports do not say when the ask was changed to $2.5 million. The sale therefore was reported at the final ask, not at the earlier $2.75 million figure.

What was the house like?
TMZ described a modern home with four bedrooms and 2,924 square feet. Its account highlighted a primary suite with a spa-like bathroom and large walk-in closet, a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, marble counters and brass cabinets, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area, and three custom fireplaces. It also described an outdoor entertaining space with panoramic city views and a countertop grill. These are media-reported property details, not an independent inspection.

A property-listing result identifies the residence as 3020 Hollycrest Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068, and describes it as Berk’s designed and owned home (property listing result). ELLE Decor reported that the residence served as Berk’s Los Angeles headquarters (ELLE Decor).
Mansion Global attributed additional renovation details to the listing agent: Berk remodeled the interiors, expanded the primary bedroom by enclosing a patio, and the backyard was redone with multiple gathering levels. The report also said outdoor furniture could be purchased with the home; it did not identify a specific product or establish that any furniture remains available (Mansion Global).

What does the price difference mean?
Subtracting the reported 2019 purchase price of $1.375 million from the $2.5 million sale price gives a gross price difference of $1.125 million. That arithmetic is not net profit: the coverage does not account for renovations, ownership costs, taxes, or transaction expenses.

TMZ’s January 12, 2025 report wrote: “Bobby Berk’s former pad in the Hollywood Hills has strutted off the market in style, fetching the full asking price … TMZ has learned.” That is the outlet’s narration, not a quotation from Berk, his representative, or the listing agent. No direct, on-the-record quote from Berk or a named official source appeared in the coverage cited here.
