The “new special” reported in March 2026 is a filmed version of Bluey’s Big Play—The Stage Show, not a newly produced full-length animated episode. The same report said ten short Bluey minisodes were available on Disney+ in the US. Those release details come from a secondary report, so check your local Disney+ catalog for current availability.
What is the new Bluey special?
The March 2026 report describes Bluey’s Big Play—The Stage Show, a recording of the theatrical production adapted for the screen. It says the show has an original storyline from Bluey creator Joe Brumm and premiered on Disney+ on March 16, 2026. These details were reported by AOL; the available official material does not independently confirm that specific release or date.
It is a stage production recording, not a new full-length animated episode. The report’s description of the minisodes also presents them as standalone short moments, not a continuation of the storylines in “The Sign” or “Surprise.”
What are the Bluey minisodes?
