Bluey and Bingo’s CityDogs are two Brisbane CityCats decorated with life-size designs of the characters. They joined the regular CityCat fleet around the opening of Bluey’s World, so visitors can take a ferry to the attraction’s Northshore Hamilton neighbourhood—but there is no guaranteed CityDog timetable. Check the ferry service before travelling, and treat spotting one of the themed boats as a bonus.
What are the Bluey CityDogs?
The CityDogs are two themed Brisbane CityCats, one featuring Bluey and the other Bingo. The vessels were created to celebrate Bluey’s World opening and operated as part of the ordinary CityCat fleet, rather than as a separate attraction shuttle. The official launch announcement also notes references and locations from the show in the designs: Brisbane Economic Development Agency’s CityDogs announcement.
Ludo Studio Producer Sam Moor said the studio’s artists collaborated with BBC Studios and the CityCat team to bring the boats to life, adding that the team hoped they would bring a smile to families and commuters. BBC Studios ANZ described the designs as a tribute to Brisbane’s place in Bluey’s identity.
Can you ride a Bluey ferry in Brisbane?
The CityDogs entered the regular ferry fleet, which means they may operate on ordinary CityCat services. However, the official information does not give a CityDog-specific timetable or guarantee which vessel will serve a departure. Check current service information with Translink when planning your trip; a Bluey or Bingo sighting is not something you can book or rely on.

How do I get to Bluey’s World by ferry?
Bluey’s World is at Northshore Pavilion, 281 MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton. The Northshore Hamilton ferry stop is a two-minute walk from the venue, according to the attraction’s Getting Here information. Brisbane City Council lists the all-stops F1 CityCat service between UQ St Lucia and Northshore Hamilton as running daily. The ferry is one practical way to reach the area, but your actual journey depends on the current service and your starting point.

Plan the attraction visit separately from the ferry
Bluey’s World is a guided, interactive family experience with rooms, sets, and games inspired by the television series. Its official site describes a 4,000-square-metre attraction and advises visitors to check the schedule; sessions are subject to operations. Check the official Bluey’s World site for the date you intend to visit, since schedules and ticket availability can change.

BBC Studios ANZ reported on 11 June 2026 that Bluey’s World would remain exclusively in Brisbane until 3 February 2028. The company said the attraction had welcomed more than half a million visitors since opening in November 2024. Those figures describe the attraction, not the CityDogs or ferry ridership. The same release reported 501,107 direct visitor nights and $156.9 million in direct and incremental expenditure across Queensland, figures attributed to Bluey’s World Producer Andrew Kay. Brisbane City Council’s general CityCat rules permit pet dogs at designated off-peak times and on weekends, subject to leash and muzzle or carrier requirements and staff direction. This is a general ferry policy, not a special feature of the themed boats. Check the current CityCats and ferries guidance for the applicable conditions before travelling with a pet.
