Bloom: Living Connections is an outdoor, after-dark light trail at Central Park in Joondalup, running nightly from 26 September to 25 October 2026. Visitors follow a self-paced route through illuminated environments inspired by Sky, Water, Land and Underground. Book a timed session online, check the available entry times for your date and plan for an outdoor spring evening.
When and where is Bloom?
Bloom runs nightly from 26 September through 25 October 2026 at Central Park, Boas Avenue, Joondalup WA 6027. The City of Joondalup lists sessions between 6:30pm and 9:15pm, with the event closing at 10pm; the organizer publishes session schedules by date range because entry times shift with sunset. Check the official Bloom page for the available sessions on your chosen night rather than assuming one entry time applies throughout the season.
What is the experience like?
The 2026 edition is titled Living Connections. Its story explores the balance between Sky, Water, Land and Underground, guided by four Australian animal guardians. The Fairy Wren is named as the guardian of Sky. The trail combines holographic wildlife, projections, lasers, interactive installations and original music. It is a walk-through experience, not a seated performance.
Bloom is produced by Laservision. A City of Joondalup media release from 30 July 2025 says the producer’s Luna Light Journeys have received multiple global awards for storytelling and immersive experiences, but does not identify the awards or say that Bloom itself won a specific prize. The same release described the 2025 Joondalup season as the event’s debut and presented the journey as a partnership with the City. It quotes Laservision CEO and owner Shannon Brooks saying: “Our Luna Light Journey’s, or immersive night walks, have been selling out in cities across Australia since our inaugural show in Bendigo, 2021.” That is the producer’s statement as reported in the release, not independently audited attendance data.
