Who plays Helen Webb?
Keira Knightley as Helen
Knightley plays Helen, who has spent years passing her politician husband’s secrets to the Black Doves. She is also Wallace’s wife and the mother of twins Oliver and Jacqueline. Jason’s murder forces these parts of her life into conflict. Knightley describes Helen as someone who adapts to her audience: “Helen is whatever she needs to be, to whoever she needs to be it to.” Netflix Tudum’s cast guide published the quote on December 5, 2024.
Who is Sam Young?
Ben Whishaw as Sam
Sam is an assassin, but the role is not simply that of a detached killer: he is Helen’s close friend and confidant, and his conscience complicates his work. Netflix’s cast guide describes his lonely double life with Michael, who believes Sam works in insurance. Whishaw put Sam’s vulnerability plainly: “He has a conscience, which is his Achilles’ heel.” The quote appears in the same Netflix Tudum guide.
