Birdland is the Perth band formed by identical triplets Conrad, Francis and Oscar Cvitan. A PerthNow profile published on 21 May 2025 introduced them as teenage musicians building an audience online and through local gigs; later reports document a WAM Song of the Year nomination, festival appearances and a debut EP.
Who are the Birdland triplets?
Conrad, Francis and Oscar Cvitan are identical triplets from Perth, Western Australia, who perform together as Birdland. PerthNow reported in May 2025 that they were 16; an October 2025 follow-up described them as 17. Those ages reflect the dates of the reports, not their current ages.

The brothers said they began playing together in 2019. Their roles, as described in the October 2025 PerthNow coverage, are Francis on guitar, Oscar on bass and Conrad on drums. All three sing; the May profile also identified Oscar as the band’s manager.
What does Birdland sound like?
The brothers described their music as “a combination of Indie, Funk, and Pop,” according to PerthNow’s 21 May 2025 profile. That article also noted comparisons to Rex Orange County, Crowded House and Maroon 5. Those are comparisons reported in the profile, not a formal critical assessment.
#1 Best Overall
The band’s setup combines guitar, bass and drums with shared vocals. In the May 2025 story, Francis said the online audience reaching listeners overseas felt “very flattering.” Oscar described performing online as accessible because people could “hear it and see what we’re really like.”
How did Birdland build an audience?
PerthNow reported that Birdland had more than 185,000 TikTok followers on 21 May 2025. That is a dated figure from the profile, not a verified current count. The story described a route from local gigs to online performances, including livestreams, which helped the band reach listeners beyond Perth.

The brothers also spoke about wanting to move from small crowds to larger stages. Conrad told PerthNow that his biggest dream was to play Scarborough Amphitheatre to a packed crowd singing along. A later report records the band performing at Scarborough Beach, but does not establish that this was the amphitheatre show he had described.
What recognition and releases have been reported?
PerthNow reported that Birdland received a 2025 WAM Song of the Year nomination. Its 9 October 2025 follow-up identified the nominated track as “Seven Months Ago.” The nomination is reported by PerthNow; the coverage cited here does not provide an original WAM results page.

The May 2025 profile described “On My Mind” as the band’s forthcoming second single, scheduled for release at the end of June. That was a plan reported at the time and does not, by itself, confirm the release date or current availability. A later X-Press Magazine announcement, published 23 July 2026, said Birdland had released its debut EP, “He Was Me,” and toured nationally during 2026.
