She also described Joel’s place in their family: “Bill is beloved by so many, and to us, he is a father and husband who is at the center of our world. We are hopeful for his recovery. We look forward to seeing you all in the future.” The post included a photograph of the couple with their daughters, Della Rose and Remy Anne. Three days before his wife’s post, Joel publicly disclosed that he had been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). His team said the condition had been exacerbated by recent concert performances and had affected his hearing, vision and balance.
