Bianca Belair said her bodysuit’s zipper broke and its crotch split about an hour before her match at WWE Crown Jewel 2024. The failure happened before she wrestled, and she described a backstage repair—not an incident during the match.
What went wrong with Belair’s gear
In an account from her Instagram reproduced by WrestleTalk on Nov. 6, 2024, Belair said she bought a bodysuit and customized it with gems and fabric. The fabric looked brown rather than black, so she turned it inside out and used fabric spray paint to darken it. She said the paint left the material stiff and darkened some of the jewels.
About an hour before her match, the zipper broke and the crotch split. Belair described the failure as “the zipper busted in the back and the crotch ripped open,” in wording quoted by WrestleTalk from her Instagram account.
How the bodysuit was repaired
Belair said she hand-sewed the split while a seamstress repaired the zipper. She then spotted brown patches on the gear. Jade Cargill and Belair’s makeup artist helped cover them with a black marker and hair-tint spray. Belair said the last-minute effort worked out.
