A defensible ranking weighs championship accomplishments, longevity, landmark matches and events, and influence on how WWE presented women’s wrestling—while recognizing that title counts and opportunities changed across eras. On the evidence available here, Trish Stratus and Charlotte Flair make the strongest cases at the top; the rest of the order is more interpretive.
How this ranking weighs different eras
This is an editorial ranking, not an official WWE list. It gives weight to documented title records and landmark visibility, alongside longevity and influence. Those last two measures are harder to compare objectively: WWE’s biographies and retrospectives offer useful historical framing, but they are not independent assessments of match quality or cultural impact.
Title counts also need context. WWE’s 2016 announcement dates its women’s championship lineage to September 1965, while a separate WWE retrospective says Fabulous Moolah held the championship from September 18, 1956, to July 23, 1984. Those are WWE’s two distinct presentations of the history; they should not be combined into one unqualified claim. The former WWE Women’s Championship lineage was retired and unified with the Divas Championship in 2010, and WWE’s current index includes separate active women’s titles. A reign count therefore does not represent one unchanged championship across every era.
The best WWE women’s wrestlers, ranked
1. Trish Stratus
Stratus has the clearest combination of a substantial title record and a standout documented reign in the material considered here. WWE credits her with seven Women’s Championship wins and records one reign lasting 447 days, from January 9, 2005, to April 2, 2006. WWE’s biography calls her a possible greatest-ever candidate; that is promotional praise, not an official or independent verdict. The documented record, rather than the superlative, is the strongest reason to put her first.

2. Charlotte Flair
Flair’s case rests on sustained championship success across several divisions. WWE calls her its most decorated female Superstar and says she holds a record number of Women’s Title reigns; her biography also lists Raw, SmackDown, Divas, NXT, and tag-team championship accomplishments. WWE does not provide a comparable reign total in the cited material, so the description supports her standing without settling a numerical comparison with Stratus.
3. Becky Lynch
Lynch belongs near the top both as an individual star and as one of the Four Horsewomen of NXT, the group WWE credits with changing the game and inspiring a shift in the division. She also shared the landmark WrestleMania 35 main event with Flair and Ronda Rousey—the first women’s match to main-event WrestleMania, according to WWE. Lynch’s own biography records her claim to be the greatest women’s Superstar of all time; that is her claim, not a settled ranking.

4. Sasha Banks
Banks’ strongest documented case here is her place among the Four Horsewomen alongside Flair, Lynch, and Bayley. WWE’s corporate description says the group changed the game and inspired a division shift. That is WWE’s assessment, not a measured independent finding, but it marks Banks as part of a generation WWE itself presents as pivotal.
5. Bayley
Bayley shares that Four Horsewomen legacy. Ranking her alongside Banks and Lynch reflects the documented group influence rather than a claim that their individual records are identical; the sources considered here do not provide comparable title totals or a cross-era evaluation of their matches.
Rank #3

6. Rhea Ripley
Ripley has a notable documented modern reign: WWE’s title history lists 379 days, from April 1, 2023, to April 15, 2024. That is a strong single measure of championship longevity, but a reign-length comparison cannot by itself answer an all-time question spanning different titles, schedules, and eras.
7. Lita
WWE names Lita among the notable figures in its account of the women’s championship lineage and includes her in its retrospective on influential women. That establishes her place in WWE’s historical story, although the sources considered here do not give a comparable title total or a specific record that would support placing her above the more extensively documented modern cases.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
8. Fabulous Moolah
Moolah is essential to any account of WWE women’s wrestling history: WWE’s lineage announcement names her, and its retrospective presents an exceptionally long championship span, from September 18, 1956, to July 23, 1984. WWE’s separate announcement dates the lineage to September 1965, so the retrospective’s span should be read as WWE’s own historical presentation, not silently reconciled with that later lineage date. Her place in the ranking is therefore significant, but the available record requires explicit historical qualification.
9. Wendi Richter
Richter appears among the notable figures named in WWE’s 2016 championship-lineage announcement. That recognition makes her a necessary part of a multigenerational list. The sources considered here do not supply a comparable reign total, match assessment, or longevity measure, so a more precise placement would imply evidence that is not established here.

10. Alundra Blayze
Blayze is another of the historical figures WWE highlights in its lineage announcement and influential-women retrospective. Her inclusion recognizes that the division’s history cannot be reduced to the modern title records that are easier to compare; the evidence considered here does not support a finer statistical comparison with later generations.
11. Jacqueline
WWE names Jacqueline among the notable figures in the championship lineage. That makes her part of the division’s history across generations, though the material considered here does not provide a matching set of statistics or independent assessments for ranking her more precisely.
12. Ronda Rousey
Rousey’s strongest documented all-time case here is landmark visibility: she competed with Lynch and Flair in the first women’s match to main-event WrestleMania, at WrestleMania 35. That distinction belongs to the match and its participants; the sources considered here do not establish a comparable career-long record that would justify placing her above the longer-term title and influence cases.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the ranking can—and cannot—settle
Stratus leads on the clearest combined evidence of repeated championships and a long recorded reign; Flair follows on WWE’s description of her unusually extensive title accomplishments. Lynch, Banks, and Bayley rank highly for their documented collective role in WWE’s account of a divisional shift, while Ripley brings a clearly dated long reign. The historical names matter to the lineage, but the available official material does not give enough comparable detail to claim a definitive fine-grained order among them or against modern wrestlers.

Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
WWE’s biographies, title histories, and retrospectives are valuable for its own records and framing, but they do not establish a universal greatest-ever ranking. Differences in title lineages, schedules, match formats, and division structures make raw reign counts an incomplete cross-era scorecard.
