Which Ratchet figure should you choose?
For the 1986 animated-film design at Voyager scale: Studio Series 86-23
At 6.5 inches, the F7243 is the larger of the two 1986-film options here. It converts into an emergency vehicle and includes two blasters plus a removable Decepticon Shuttle Ambush backdrop. It is the clearest fit if you want this animated-film version in a larger Studio Series format. Hasbro’s product page describes the 25-step conversion.

For Ratchet’s Cybertron design in Bumblebee: Studio Series 82
The 4.5-inch F3163 represents the Cybertronian medical-vehicle design from Bumblebee, not the 1986 animated-film look. Hasbro lists 22 conversion steps, a heavy blaster, and a removable Cybertron Falls backdrop. It is the version to seek when the Cybertron setting and that film’s design are the priority. For the first live-action film and the most listed features: Movie Masterpiece MPM-11
MPM-11 is 7.5 inches tall and has the longest listed conversion in this group, at 61 steps. Hasbro also lists die-cast parts, 150 deco operations, more than 35 articulation points, and four accessories. Those specifications make it the most feature-heavy option described here, but they do not independently prove that it is the best-made or best-value figure. For Dark of the Moon: Studio Series 16
The 4.5-inch E0977 is the specific pick for Ratchet’s Dark of the Moon version. It converts between robot and H2 Hummer modes in 18 steps and includes a weapon accessory and removable Battle of Chicago backdrop. Check Hasbro’s product page for the listed details.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the version and item code. Ratchet appears in several movie designs; a listing that says only “Ratchet” may not make the intended version clear. Match the title and code—F7243, F3163, F3143, E7300, or E0977—to the figure you want.
- Compare size with your collection. The documented heights run from 3.5 inches for Core Class to 7.5 inches for MPM-11. These are distinct size classes, not interchangeable versions of the same display footprint.
- Check what is included. The backdrop and accessory sets differ by figure. Verify that the seller’s listing and photos correspond to the exact product, especially when buying an older release.
- Verify price, stock, seller, and condition at the time of purchase. Hasbro’s product pages do not establish current retail availability or resale value, and availability may vary by location. Older figures may be listed by third-party sellers, so inspect whether the item is new, used, complete, or missing parts.
- Consider the age guidance. Hasbro lists these figures for ages 8 and up and warns that they contain small parts unsuitable for children under 3. Hasbro’s age-grade and small-parts warning explains the caution.
What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you
Hasbro’s descriptions establish the stated dimensions, conversion-step counts, accessories, and—in MPM-11’s case—articulation and deco-operation figures. They do not establish current stock, market value, comparative durability, transformation difficulty in practice, or which figure collectors will prefer. Treat the specifications as a way to narrow the choice by version, scale, and included display pieces, then check the actual listing for availability and condition.
