Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →If you need a documented way to loop a prerecorded video into YouTube Live, use OBS Studio on a desktop: add the file as a Media Source and turn on Loop. If the stream must stay live without a computer running at home, StreamNeo is the cloud option to consider. Mobile apps such as PRISM Live Studio, Larix Broadcaster, Wirecast Go, and Streamlabs Mobile are listed or documented for mobile production, but the cited descriptions do not confirm continuous playback of a local prerecorded file.
Which option fits your setup?
| Option | Strongest documented use | Local prerecorded-file loop confirmed? | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Keeping an uploaded video or playlist live on YouTube from the cloud | Yes; it is built to loop uploaded videos | Cloud playback rather than phone-based production; it streams to YouTube only. |
| OBS Studio (desktop) | Producing a YouTube stream from a local file or playlist | Yes. OBS documents Media Source looping and VLC playlist looping. | The desktop and network connection must remain available while streaming. |
| PRISM Live Studio (mobile) | Mobile camera and screen production, effects, overlays, chat, and media elements | Not established by the cited official description | Do not assume a media element means continuous local-file playout. |
| Larix Broadcaster (mobile) | Camera capture and live streaming over protocols including SRT and RTMP | Not established by the cited YouTube listing | Its listed encoder role does not confirm prerecorded-file looping. |
| Wirecast Go (iOS) | Mobile broadcast production, switching, graphics, chat, and YouTube stream management | Not established by the cited YouTube listing | Production features do not by themselves establish looped-file playout. |
| Streamlabs Mobile | Phone camera or gameplay/screen streaming with widgets and overlays | Not established by Streamlabs’ cited guide | A fit for live capture, not a documented match for looping a local video. |
For a phone-only workflow, treat PRISM Live Studio, Larix, and Wirecast Go as candidates to verify—not confirmed looping solutions. Check the current app version on your device for a way to select a local video file and keep replaying it after it ends. OBS Studio itself is not a mobile app: OBS Project says mobile development is outside the project’s current scope.
Loop a prerecorded video with OBS Studio on desktop
OBS is the best-documented do-it-yourself fit in this comparison because its Media Source has an explicit loop control. OBS also documents playlist looping through its VLC Video source. Use a video you have the right to stream; putting a file on repeat does not grant permission to use its audio or images.
- Prepare YouTube Live. In YouTube Studio, create a stream in the Live Control Room. Get the YouTube Live server URL and stream key for the encoder workflow.
- Add the video in OBS. In your scene’s Sources, add a Media Source, then select the local video file. In the source properties, enable Loop. OBS documents that the file starts again after playback completes. See the OBS Media Sources guide.
- For multiple clips, add a playlist source. Add a VLC Video source and configure its playlist. OBS says Loop Playlist is enabled by default. The VLC Video source requires VLC to be installed.
- Configure the YouTube connection. Enter YouTube’s Live server URL and stream key in the encoder’s stream configuration, then start the stream. Keep the stream key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your channel.
- Check playback before relying on it. Confirm the video appears in the OBS preview and that a single file restarts or the playlist advances as intended. For a long-running stream, the computer and its network connection need to remain available.
What the mobile alternatives do—and what remains unconfirmed
PRISM Live Studio
YouTube lists PRISM Live Studio as a mobile encoder option. Its cited overview describes mobile production capabilities such as camera or screen use, effects, overlays, chat, and media elements; it does not establish that a local prerecorded file can run continuously as the live output.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Larix Broadcaster
YouTube lists Larix Broadcaster among mobile encoder options, and its cited description centers on camera capture and streaming protocols such as SRT and RTMP. That does not verify local-file playback or looping.
Wirecast Go
YouTube lists Wirecast Go as an option for mobile production and YouTube stream management. The cited listing describes production tools, but does not confirm a local video loop.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Streamlabs Mobile
Streamlabs’ cited mobile guide covers camera and gameplay or screen streaming with overlays and widgets. Those workflows are useful for live phone content, but the guide does not demonstrate looping a prerecorded local file into YouTube Live.
These limits are about what the cited documentation establishes, not proof that a named app—or every mobile app—cannot do it. Mobile app features and device compatibility can change. Before choosing a phone-only setup, verify file selection and repeat playback in the exact current app version and on the device you plan to use.

Costs and practical trade-offs
OBS Studio is the desktop do-it-yourself route described here; it requires a computer and network connection to stay available during the stream. A phone encoder avoids a desktop workflow, but the cited listings do not establish the looped local-file capability this use case needs. StreamNeo shifts playback to the cloud and charges by slot and billing period; its plans do not add quality tiers. Choose based on whether you need a verified local-file loop, phone-only operation, or a stream that continues without your own device running.
