The 2026 Prime Day and Prime Big Deal Days book sales have ended. Amazon advertised print-book discounts of up to 65% during both events, and selected Kindle titles up to 80% off during June Prime Day—but those were event-wide promotional ceilings, not guaranteed savings on any particular book. Check a listing’s format, current price, stock, and terms before treating it as a deal.
Are Prime Day book deals available now?
No. Amazon’s U.S. June Prime Day ran June 23–26, 2026, and its October Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7, 2026. Both sale windows are over. Amazon’s June announcement and October announcement describe those past events; neither establishes a current price or offer for an individual title.

That means a page or search result repeating a 2026 Prime Day price should not be taken as proof that the offer is still active. Check the live book listing for its current price, chosen edition, availability, and any offer terms.
What book discounts did Amazon advertise in 2026?
| Event | Dates | Amazon’s advertised book offers | What the figure establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Day, June 2026 | June 23–26 | Print books across genres up to 65% off; selected Kindle titles up to 80% off | Promotional ceilings for the event, not a discount guaranteed on any specific book. Source: Amazon U.S. Press Center. |
| Prime Big Deal Days, October 2026 | October 6–7 | Thousands of print-book deals up to 65% off | An event-level maximum; the announcement does not establish a particular title’s price or discount. Source: Amazon U.S. Press Center. |
These percentages are Amazon’s own promotional statements, not results from an independent study. “Up to” identifies the highest advertised discount, not the typical discount or the saving on every hardcover, paperback, or Kindle edition.

How to tell whether a book offer is actually a good deal
- Choose the exact book and format. Confirm the title and author, then select hardcover, paperback, or Kindle. Different editions can have different prices and availability.
- Read the live price for that edition. Compare the current listing price with the displayed reference price, if one is shown. Do not apply an event-wide maximum to an individual title.
- Check availability and terms. Make sure the print edition is in stock or the Kindle edition is available, and review any membership or other offer conditions shown on that listing. Amazon describes these events as Prime-member sales, but its announcements do not establish that every book listing was restricted to Prime members.
- Confirm the sale is active. An old event announcement or expired deal page cannot establish a current offer. The live listing is the relevant place to verify today’s price and availability.
What to expect from Kindle and print-book offers
Amazon’s June 2026 announcement covered both print books and selected Kindle titles; the October announcement highlighted print-book deals. That does not mean every title appeared in every format, or that the Kindle price matched the hardcover or paperback price. For Kindle devices rather than Kindle books, Amazon’s separate Prime Day 2026 Kindle deals coverage is historical and does not establish current device pricing.
No specific current book, edition, or listing price is established by the event announcements. A useful deal roundup therefore needs title-by-title checks against live listings rather than a recycled list of past Prime Day prices.
