Best Livepush Alternatives for a Single YouTube Channel on a Budget

A paid multistreaming plan may be unnecessary for one YouTube channel. Compare free local OBS streaming, cloud relays, a browser studio, and 24/7 video looping.

For one YouTube destination, the lowest-cost Livepush alternative may be no paid relay at all: stream directly with OBS Studio, which is free and open source. If you want a cloud service to keep uploaded videos looping on YouTube around the clock, StreamNeo is a different, purpose-built option; if you need to send a live feed to multiple destinations, compare Livepush with Restream. For browser-based production and guest workflows, consider StreamYard.

The right choice depends on whether you need local production, cloud distribution, continuous playback, or a browser studio—not simply on how many platforms a plan advertises.

Best alternatives by use case

These options solve different problems. OBS sends your production directly to YouTube; a relay distributes a feed to connected destinations; a browser studio combines production and distribution; StreamNeo is for keeping uploaded videos live on YouTube continuously.

Option Best fit What the cited plan or product information says Main tradeoff
StreamNeo A YouTube channel that needs uploaded videos to loop as a 24/7 live stream. One always-on YouTube stream per slot, looping and playlists, storage pooled across active slots, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and uploaded video streamed as made up to 4K 60fps. It is for uploaded-video playback on YouTube, not a live camera production or a multistream relay.
OBS Studio direct to YouTube A budget-conscious creator comfortable setting up local streaming software for one destination. OBS is free and open source. YouTube publishes recommended encoder settings, including H.264 bitrates of 5 Mbps for 1080p30 and 6 Mbps for 1080p60. You operate the production and encoder software locally; OBS is not a cloud relay or browser studio.
Restream A creator who wants cloud distribution and may add other destinations. Restream’s pricing page listed Free with two channels and branding, Standard at $19/month for three channels, and Professional at $49/month for five channels, Full HD 1080p streaming, and 4K recording, as accessed 2026-10-03. For a single YouTube destination, paid channel capacity may go unused. Confirm current billing terms and checkout pricing.
Livepush A creator who wants cloud fan-out, extended streaming hours, or scheduling features. Livepush’s Help Center lists Free with 20 streaming hours per month and up to 10 platforms; Pro at $15/month or $13/month billed annually; and Creators at $39/month or $32.50/month billed annually, with a 24/7 schedule channel and video looping on Creators. The Free monthly-hour limit can constrain frequent or long streams. Some destinations are restricted on Free; check Livepush’s current plan details.
StreamYard A creator who wants a browser studio, straightforward production, or guest workflows. Its Help Center lists three destinations on Core, eight on Advanced, and ten on Business. Its product page advertises a $20/month annual starting price for new users for the first year. The advertised first-year annual entry price is not a permanent or universal rate; multistreaming is paid after the trial.

Plan details and prices above reflect the named vendors’ pages accessed in 2026; terms, eligibility, billing duration, taxes, and regional pricing can change. These figures are not a direct price ranking: the products bundle different combinations of production, distribution, recording, and platform capacity.

When OBS direct to YouTube is enough

If you only broadcast to one YouTube channel and can run the encoder yourself, direct streaming avoids paying for distribution to destinations you do not use. OBS provides local production capabilities such as scenes and audio mixing. YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends RTMPS, a secure extension of RTMP.

Set the encoder for your target

YouTube’s guide recommends constant bitrate encoding and a 2-second keyframe interval. For H.264, it recommends 5 Mbps at 1080p30 and 6 Mbps at 1080p60. These are YouTube encoder recommendations, not guarantees of a particular picture quality or proof that any given computer can encode reliably. YouTube transcodes streams into output formats, so results also depend on the source and platform processing.

For current encoder guidance, use YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions. OBS describes itself as “Free and open source software for video recording and live streaming” on the OBS Project website. Check OBS’s current system requirements against your own hardware before relying on a particular setup.

What direct streaming asks of you

  • Configure and operate the local production and encoder software.
  • Use YouTube’s current encoder settings and stream-key workflow; keep the key private and do not publish it.
  • Maintain the local streaming setup while you broadcast. A paid relay or a 24/7 cloud playback service addresses a different need than local production.

When a cloud multistream service is worth paying for

A cloud relay receives one feed and distributes it to connected destinations. That can be useful when you add platforms and want to avoid separate uploads from your own connection. It is unnecessary distribution capacity if your only endpoint is one YouTube channel.

Livepush

Livepush is relevant if you need its cloud fan-out or schedule features rather than merely a single YouTube output. According to the Livepush Plans and Pricing Help Center page, Free includes 20 streaming hours per month and up to 10 platforms, with some destinations restricted and one simultaneous stream. The same page lists Pro at $15/month or $13/month when billed annually, removing the 20-hour cap and unlocking Facebook, Kick, and custom RTMP. It lists Creators at $39/month or $32.50/month billed annually and includes a 24/7 schedule channel and video looping. Treat these as Livepush’s stated plan details and verify them before subscribing.

See Livepush’s description of its multistreaming service for its own account of how the product distributes a live feed.

Restream

Restream is a cloud option to consider if you may expand beyond YouTube. Its pricing page, accessed 2026-10-03, listed Free with two channels and branding, Standard at $19/month with three channels, and Professional at $49/month with five channels, Full HD 1080p streaming, and 4K recording. Those channel allowances matter more when you actually use multiple destinations; for a solo YouTube-only workflow, the paid capacity may not justify its cost.

StreamYard

StreamYard is better understood as a browser-based production studio with distribution, particularly if you value a simple studio or guests. Its multistreaming support page lists three destinations on Core, eight on Advanced, and ten on Business. The product page advertises a first-year annual starting price of $20/month for new users. That is an introductory annual offer, not evidence of the ongoing or region-specific price.

Or let it run in the cloud

If the goal is a 24/7 YouTube stream made from uploaded videos rather than a live camera production or multistreaming feed, StreamNeo is the relevant alternative to try first: it keeps uploaded videos looping on YouTube from the cloud, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, with the first day free.

Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; video streams as uploaded without re-encoding; if YouTube drops the stream, StreamNeo automatically recovers. Each slot includes 10 GB storage, pooled across active slots, and StreamNeo support. There is one free day per account with no card required. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month; other available billing lengths are a day, a week, six months, or a year, with cancellation available at any time. UPI and cards are accepted in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.

How to choose without paying for unused features

  • One YouTube destination, local operation is acceptable: start with OBS direct to YouTube and YouTube’s encoder recommendations.
  • Several destinations from one live feed: compare Livepush and Restream against the destinations and hours you actually need.
  • Guests or browser-based production: assess StreamYard’s studio workflow and destination cap, not only its advertised entry price.
  • Uploaded videos running continuously on YouTube: consider a service designed for cloud looping rather than a general multistream plan.

Before choosing a paid option, check the current checkout price, billing term, monthly hour ceiling, destination restrictions, and whether recording, scheduling, or guest features are included in the specific plan. A service that distributes to more platforms does not by itself improve the source picture; YouTube’s encoder guidance and transcoding still matter.

Troubleshooting the choice

“I only need YouTube, but Livepush’s free plan lists many platforms.”

Platform count does not make a plan more useful if you have one endpoint. Compare the monthly hours and destination restrictions with your actual schedule; otherwise, OBS direct to YouTube may be enough.

“I stream for long sessions and may exceed a monthly cap.”

Livepush’s Help Center lists 20 hours per month for Free. If your intended usage exceeds that allowance, check the current Pro terms or compare another workflow before starting a long broadcast.

“My local computer should not have to keep streaming.”

OBS is local software, so it does not provide cloud continuity by itself. If you need uploaded videos to keep looping on YouTube with your computer off, use the cloud playback option described above rather than treating OBS or a multistream destination allowance as equivalent.

“The output looks different from my source.”

YouTube transcodes streams into output formats. Check that the encoder uses the recommended bitrate for the target resolution and frame rate, constant bitrate, and a 2-second keyframe interval; settings alone cannot guarantee a particular viewer-side result.

“The price I saw differs from the comparison.”

The listed Restream and StreamYard figures have specific plan and offer qualifications, and vendor pricing can vary by billing term, geography, taxes, and eligibility. Recheck the official pricing page and checkout total before committing.
