But PRISM’s official guide does not confirm that the playlist repeats continuously, so treat it as playlist playback—not a guaranteed unattended loop.
Which free Android app should you choose?

For the specific task of streaming prerecorded videos from an Android phone, PRISM is the stronger documented match because its official instructions cover creating and using a local video playlist. Neither source set establishes a confirmed continuous-repeat feature, so verify the current app behavior before relying on it to run unattended.
Set up a prerecorded video playlist in PRISM
- Add videos from the phone. Open PRISM Live Studio and add locally stored videos to My Studio using the app’s media playlist feature. The playlist guide describes selecting videos and arranging their order. See Using Media Playlist.
- Save and select the playlist. PRISM saves the playlist as one item that can be reused. Its getting-started guide identifies video playlists as a My Studio source and YouTube as a supported streaming destination: Getting Started with PRISM Mobile.
- Set the audio mix. If you turn off the microphone, the live mix can retain audio from video or music playback. Check the resulting mix before going live so narration or ambient phone audio is not included unintentionally.
- Start the YouTube broadcast from PRISM. Choose YouTube as the streaming destination and select the playlist source. YouTube also lists PRISM among mobile encoder options at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Know the source limit
PRISM’s source usage guide says only one playback feature can be used at a time among music, video, music playlist, video playlist, and image playlist. On Android My Studio, it lists one video or one video playlist source. Plan the broadcast around that limit rather than expecting multiple playback sources to run together. Can PRISM loop the playlist continuously?
The official playlist instructions reviewed explain how to select and order videos, save the playlist, and use it during a live stream; they do not state that the playlist automatically repeats when it reaches the end. That means the evidence supports sequential playlist playback, but not an assurance of continuous looping or unattended restart. Test the current app version with a short playlist before scheduling a long broadcast, and do not advertise a stream as looping unless you have confirmed repeat behavior on your device.

Keep PRISM broadcasting in the background
If you need to switch away from PRISM while streaming on Android, its official guide says to enable the background-broadcast setting and allow the app to display over other apps. Follow the instructions in Broadcasting Live Stream in Background. These settings allow background broadcasting but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation: phone battery, heat, Android behavior, and network stability can still affect a long stream.
When Larix is a reasonable alternative
Larix Broadcaster is listed by YouTube as a mobile encoder and its Google Play entry describes RTMP support. It may suit someone looking for a general-purpose encoder or an RTMP workflow, but the reviewed material does not document the local prerecorded-video playlist and repeat behavior needed for this particular use. Its Play Store listing identifies a watermark and time limit in the free version; it shows a Premium plan at $9.99 per month when the listing was accessed. Check the listing for current availability and terms in your region.

A technically working stream does not guarantee that you have the right to broadcast the video or that it complies with YouTube’s policies. Use footage, music, and other material you own or are licensed to stream, and review the applicable YouTube rules for your channel and content before going live. A prerecorded format is still a live broadcast to viewers; do not assume that relaying a video makes copyrighted or reused material permissible.
