Best for action-led crime: Reacher
Reacher is a fit if you want a murder investigation with a substantial action element. Paramount Global Content describes Jack Reacher as a retired military police officer arrested for a murder he did not commit, then drawn into a conspiracy involving corrupt officials and business interests. Choose The Devil’s Hour if you want a crime-adjacent mystery that reaches beyond a conventional police procedural. Prime Video’s description connects Lucy’s nightmares to information that leads her and DI Dhillon toward a dark discovery. That premise supports describing it as a psychological or supernatural mystery tied to an investigation; it does not establish that the show follows a standard procedural format.
