Why is public information about the boys limited?
Cumberbatch has explained that questions about fatherhood can be a route to exposing his family. In a 2021 profile, The Hollywood Reporter quoted him: “It’s just a Trojan horse to let people point lenses at [my family] and talk to me about them or farm out quotes about them.” The quotation appears in The Hollywood Reporter’s profile.
