Access Hollywood’s coverage named Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston and Robert De Niro among the celebrities connected to the reaction; De Niro also appeared in the return broadcast. The available coverage does not establish Stiller’s exact words, so his reaction should not be quoted or paraphrased as a specific statement.
What happened when Jimmy Kimmel returned?
Kimmel opened the September 23 broadcast with a monologue lasting more than 15 minutes. He addressed his earlier remarks about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the suspension of his program, free expression and the support he had received.

ABC News reported that Kimmel said, “It was never my intention to make light of the murder of a young man.” He also said he did not mean to blame any group for the suspect’s actions. In AP’s account of the broadcast, Kimmel thanked viewers and supporters, saying, “I will never forget it.”
What did Ben Stiller say about Kimmel’s return?
Access Hollywood’s summary includes Stiller in its coverage of celebrity reactions, but the accessible summary does not provide a verifiable quotation or enough detail to establish the substance of his post. It would therefore be misleading to attribute a particular phrase or opinion to him.

Which other celebrities were mentioned?
Jennifer Aniston
Access Hollywood also names Aniston in its reaction coverage. The available summary does not provide a reliable verbatim statement or specify the precise form of her reaction.
Robert De Niro
De Niro is named in the same coverage, and he made a cameo during Kimmel’s return monologue. That on-air appearance is distinct from a social-media reaction; the accessible summary says other stars showed support online but does not establish that every named celebrity did so.
Why had the show been suspended?
ABC News reproduced a statement from The Walt Disney Company saying the company suspended production to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment. Disney described some of Kimmel’s comments as ill-timed and insensitive. The company said: “We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.” This is Disney’s explanation of its decisions, not an independently established account of its motive.

No. AP’s coverage of the suspension documented sharply different responses: some public figures and entertainers treated the decision as a threat to free expression, while others defended the network’s action or criticized Kimmel’s earlier remarks. Support for Kimmel’s return—or for free expression—does not by itself show agreement with everything he said about Kirk’s killing.
