What was the TikTok controversy about?
During filming for the Minneapolis-set eighth season of Netflix’s Love Is Blind, a TikTok creator posted about an unnamed cast member’s alleged past treatment of women. Viewers connected the post to Ben Mezzenga, and the show incorporated the issue into his relationship with Sara Carton. The original post reportedly did not name Ben, and the allegations should not be treated as established fact. Marie Claire’s account identifies Minneapolis creator Andra Berghoff, who used the handle @hopeyoufindyourdad, and describes a follow-up post elaborating on her interactions with an unnamed cast member.
How did Sara respond?
Sara said she took the warning seriously but chose not to contact the creator. Asked by Elite Daily whether she would reach out, she said: “There was no interest for me to reach out.” Her response explains how she handled the post at the time; it does not verify the creator’s allegations.
What happened between Ben and Sara on the show?
Ben and Sara did not marry at the altar. In Netflix’s Season 8 reunion recap, their trust had broken down, and Sara reconsidered the TikTok controversy in light of what happened between them. That makes the post part of the relationship’s story, not proof that it was the single cause of their separation.

Did Ben and Sara stay together after filming?
They later attempted to date outside the experiment, but the relationship ultimately ended. Glamour’s post-reunion coverage reports that a later ghosting marked the end. The reported sequence includes both the trust issues discussed at the reunion and events after filming; it does not establish that the TikTok controversy alone ended the relationship.
Was the TikTok the beginning of the end?
That phrase is a plausible retrospective interpretation: the controversy raised a question of trust early in the relationship, and Sara later reconsidered it alongside what followed. But the available reporting supports a more careful conclusion than a direct cause-and-effect claim. Ben and Sara did not marry, tried dating after the show, and broke up later; the TikTok was one part of that history, while the creator’s allegations remain unverified.
