The accounts establish the date, venue and reported attendees. They do not say what the group talked about or explain Affleck’s reason for joining them.
How did the dinner fit the divorce timeline?
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, 2024, five days before the reported dinner. The Associated Press later reported that the couple settled their divorce through mediation in September 2024 and that Lopez filed documents seeking a judge’s approval of their settlement. The dinner was an August 2024 public outing; the later settlement is a separate development in the divorce proceedings.
