Ben Affleck reportedly gave Jennifer Lopez an autographed book about Marlon Brando during a small holiday gift exchange in Los Angeles in December 2024. The report did not identify the book’s title or edition, and the anecdote is not evidence of a reconciliation.
What Affleck reportedly gave Lopez
Meghan De Maria’s Marie Claire report, published December 25, 2024, says the gift was an autographed book about actor Marlon Brando. Marie Claire attributed the gift details to a source at Page Six; they should be understood as reported, not independently confirmed.
The report does not name the book, its author, publisher, or edition. It therefore does not establish which Brando book Affleck gave Lopez, or whether a signed copy of that particular book is available.
When the gift exchange took place
According to the report, Affleck and Lopez met for lunch in Los Angeles on December 22, 2024, and exchanged holiday gifts ahead of Christmas. The gifts were mostly for their children, with a few small presents exchanged between the former couple, Marie Claire reported, again citing its Page Six source.

What the story does—and does not—establish
The item is a personal anecdote about a reported gift, not a statement from either Affleck or Lopez. It does not establish a change in their relationship status. Marie Claire described them as undergoing a divorce when its report was published; the December 2024 account alone says nothing about their circumstances now.
Marie Claire also referenced a separate comment Lopez made in an interview with British Vogue about coping with hardship: “I think the way I overcome things is not by thinking of them as happening to me, but happening for me, and what is the lesson that needs to be learned in the moment.” The remark was about her outlook on difficult experiences, not the Brando book or the gift exchange.
