Lara Bingle’s reality series was Being Lara Bingle. A Sutherland Shire Council article published in June 2012 listed it among productions being filmed in the area. The available sources do not establish that it was the “first of three” shows filmed there, or identify a related trio.
What was Lara Bingle’s reality TV show?
Being Lara Bingle was a Network Ten reality series about Bingle. Contemporary reporting by The West Australian said filming had begun and described people around Bingle who appeared in the show.
Bingle characterized the production as unscripted, while distinguishing the planned schedule from what happened day to day. As quoted by The West Australian, she said: “Nothing’s scripted. It’s all real . . . I know my schedule but as to what happens on a day-to-day basis, like words and things that are coming out of my mouth, it’s not planned.” That is her account of the process, not independent proof that every part of the series was unscripted.
Was Being Lara Bingle filmed in Sutherland Shire?
Yes: the Sutherland Shire Council visitor information site included Being Lara Bingle in a list of productions being filmed around the Shire in an article dated 4 June 2012. The article also identifies Bingle as having been born in Yowie Bay, a suburb in the Shire. It establishes a local filming connection, but does not specify particular scenes, addresses or filming locations within the area.

The Council’s list also names Puberty Blues, Tricky Business and The Shire. It is a list of productions filmed around the area, not evidence that those shows and Being Lara Bingle formed a numbered group of three. The Council’s account is available in “The Wolverine is coming to the Shire”.
What does “first of three” mean?
The available sources do not explain that wording. The Council article does not call Being Lara Bingle the first of three shows, and it does not identify two companion productions. It supports the narrower claim that the series was among several productions filmed in Sutherland Shire. Without a source defining the three-show grouping, “first of three” should not be treated as established fact.
