The Knot identifies the setting as a cathedral style and says the band is Ring Concierge’s Whisper Thin design, finished with a hidden halo. A hidden halo sits beneath or around the center stone rather than forming a visible ring of diamonds around its face, so it adds detail without changing the ring’s clean outline.

What “elongated cushion cut” means
A cushion-cut diamond has a square or rectangular outline with softened, rounded corners. An elongated cushion is more rectangular than square; its proportions can make the stone appear longer on the finger. The reports identify Tilley’s diamond as elongated, but do not give its exact length-to-width ratio or other grading details.

Who designed the ring, and what is confirmed about it?
Ring Concierge designed the ring, according to The Knot, which also attributes the setting and Whisper Thin band details to the brand’s founder. The available reports do not establish the diamond’s natural or lab-grown origin, exact carat weight, color, clarity, metal karat, grading certificate or purchase price. Those details should not be inferred from photographs or from the ring’s estimated value.
Is Becca Tilley’s ring really worth $300,000?
Cosmopolitan’s 2025 celebrity-ring roundup estimates the ring at five carats and $300,000. Those are media estimates, not confirmed figures: the reports cited here provide no appraisal, grading report or documented transaction price. The precise value therefore cannot be established from the published information.

How the engagement happened
Tilley and Kiyoko announced their engagement on July 10, 2025, after more than seven years together. Kiyoko proposed during a trip to Mallorca, Spain, in an oceanside setting. Us Weekly reported that Kiyoko arranged the surprise trip and brought Tilley to choose a diamond without disclosing the proposal plan; its account drew on the couple’s conversation on Tilley’s podcast. How common are cushion-cut engagement rings?
The Knot’s 2025 report on its 2024 Jewelry and Engagement Study says cushion cuts accounted for 6% of engagement rings in the study. In the same reported figures, pear cuts were 7% and marquise cuts were 5%.
