Bebe Rexha’s “real body” video refers to a 2021 post in which she showed her body and, in a follow-up, responded to negative comments about it. In a contemporaneous report, Politiko quoted her saying: “I decided to post my real body because no woman is perfect. No body is perfect.”
What happened in the 2021 video
Politiko reported on April 23, 2021, that Rexha had posted a video a few days earlier showing her body as it was, followed by a video addressing comments about her appearance. The outlet said the comments were written in Albanian and described Rexha as criticizing a culture in which people lower one another instead of offering support.

Politiko printed one statement attributed to Rexha: “I decided to post my real body because no woman is perfect. No body is perfect.” This is the wording as reproduced in the report, not a verified transcript from the original video. Read Politiko’s report.
The report also prints a longer passage about her Albanian identity and the comments. Its English wording is awkward, so it should not be silently edited and presented as a clean verbatim quotation. The available account does not identify the commenters or establish how representative their remarks were.

What is not confirmed about the post
The contemporaneous report does not establish the platform, the exact upload date, whether the video remains available, or the complete original-language transcript. It also gives no named view, engagement, or audience figures. Claims about the post’s reach or impact therefore cannot be drawn from this reporting alone.

Rexha also made a separate body-image post in 2019: a caption accompanying an image, rather than the 2021 video and its response to reported comments. The Blast reproduced her caption, in which she wrote that she could have photoshopped her stomach and legs and described the image as showing a real woman on Instagram without Photoshop. That caption is not dialogue from the 2021 video. Read The Blast’s account of the 2019 post.
