What happens in “The Golden Ticket”
Spoilers below. The episode listing gives only a brief synopsis. The challenge sequence and episode-specific numbers below come from a third-party transcript, not an official challenge-results page or rulebook.
A scramble for the hidden ticket
The transcript opens with 148 contestants and 60 island places in play. One helicopter has already left when another arrives; a golden ticket hidden somewhere in the city offers its finder a seat. The hunt shifts the competition beyond a conventional group challenge: contestants are racing to locate a single, concealed advantage.

Six places decided by a hidden clock
Next, contestants hold red balls while blindfolded, unable to see or hear a ten-minute timer. The six who let go closest to the end without going over qualify. Anyone still holding a ball when time expires is eliminated. With the clock concealed, the task is less about speed than estimating time without the usual cues.
A collective coin target—and one contestant’s choice
In a later challenge, contestants have ten minutes to gather 100 of 110 gold coins around one player. That player wins a helicopter place and selects five companions. The group must coordinate around a shared target, but the reward gives one person the authority to decide who benefits from the effort.

Risk, cash, and staying in the game
Another decision offers guaranteed cash in exchange for self-elimination: the transcript says $250,000 is divided among those who take the offer. The choice puts immediate money against the chance to remain eligible for the season’s larger prize. The transcript does not establish that each contestant receives $250,000; it describes that amount as shared among the participants who choose to leave.
Line-crossing and precision games
The episode also includes a blindfolded decision in which contestants who cross a line alongside another player would be eliminated, and a red-ball throwing game. In the latter, the ball closest to a golden briefcase wins a helicopter ticket, and its winner chooses five others. These games contrast a risky individual choice with a skill-based result that still carries social power.

A platform game with a strict condition
In the platform challenge described by the transcript, one contestant must collect the platform’s coins and leave. Leaving without all six means elimination. The task adds a clear completion condition to the episode’s broader mix of negotiation, uncertainty, and personal risk.
How the challenges shape the episode
The games vary in what contestants can control. The timer challenge withholds information; the coin challenge depends on cooperation but grants one player the final choice; the throwing game tests precision before handing its winner a similar choice. The cash offer makes the stakes explicit: accept money now and exit, or continue competing for the season prize.
