But the available reporting does not establish Manilow’s current net worth, the home’s market value, or that a particular fortune enabled their lifestyle. The relationship was private for many years; Kief is not a “secret spouse” today.
Is Barry Manilow married, and who is Garry Kief?
Yes. Garry Kief is Manilow’s husband and longtime manager. The couple married in 2014, after being together for more than 35 years, according to The Guardian’s 2023 report. A 2026 Guardian interview says Manilow met Kief in 1978.

They kept their relationship private for a long time. Manilow spoke publicly about coming out in 2017, three years after their marriage, the Los Angeles Times reported. That history explains why older accounts may emphasize secrecy, but present-tense descriptions should identify Kief as his husband.
What is Barry Manilow’s net worth?
A reliable current net-worth figure is not established by the available reporting. The Los Angeles Times and Guardian profiles discuss Manilow’s career, relationship and home, but do not provide a documented calculation of his personal wealth. A number repeated by celebrity-estimate sites should not be treated as verified without transparent sourcing and a clear method.

Career success alone cannot supply that missing figure. The Los Angeles Times’ 2026 profile describes Manilow as a Grammy Award winner with 11 Top 10 hits at the time of publication and notes his long-running performance career. Those are career markers, not an accounting of assets, liabilities, taxes, expenses or ownership arrangements.
What is known about Manilow and Kief’s Palm Springs home?
The Los Angeles Times reports that Manilow and Kief moved from Los Angeles to a Palm Springs desert estate in the late 1990s. Manilow said they kept visiting, found the place beautiful and decided to stay. He described their life simply: “Garry and I are just two guys that live in a house on a hill with two dogs that we love.”
Rank #2
The Guardian’s 2026 interview describes a hilltop home with a study, a black grand piano, a panoramic window and a pool area, with views across the city toward the mountains. These details convey the setting as reported by the outlet; they do not establish the property’s address, square footage, ownership structure, purchase price or current market value.
Does the home prove that Manilow’s wealth funded a lavish lifestyle?
No. A scenic home and a successful music career do not establish either a net-worth total or a causal link between a particular fortune and the couple’s lifestyle. The reporting supports saying that Manilow and Kief live in a substantial Palm Springs home; it does not support assigning the property a value or using it to calculate Manilow’s wealth.
Rank #3
The distinction matters with celebrity wealth claims: a home profile describes what a reporter saw or what an interviewee said, while a valuation requires property evidence, and a net-worth estimate requires information about a person’s broader assets and liabilities. Neither kind of calculation is supplied in these profiles.
How Manilow has described Kief’s support
In a 2023 Guardian report, Manilow connected Kief’s companionship to the pressures of his career taking off: “But I met Garry right around when it was exploding. And I didn’t have to go back to those empty hotel rooms. I had somebody to cry with or to celebrate with.” The statement describes personal support, not a financial arrangement or proof of wealth.

What Manilow’s official biography does—and doesn’t—establish
Manilow’s official biography lists his 1987 book Sweet Life: Adventures on the Way to Paradise, published by McGraw-Hill. It also says the Manilow: Music and Passion DVD was certified triple platinum, without dating the certification on the page. Those are historical career details, not current measures of personal wealth. The biography also describes the Manilow Music Project’s provision of instruments, sheet music and music stands to schools.
