The official Bagong Pilipinas Hymn is titled “Panahon ng Pagbabago.” Its text appears in the annex to Memorandum Circular No. 52, dated June 4, 2024. The annex is the primary reference for the lyrics, but the circular’s machine-readable text contains inconsistent spellings, so a clean line-by-line version should be checked against the official annex image or an authorized audiovisual source.
What is the official title?
The annex to Memorandum Circular No. 52 labels the song “BAGONG PILIPINAS HYMN” and identifies its song title as “PANAHON NG PAGBABAGO.” The circular includes the hymn text, but its extracted text shows inconsistencies, including variant spellings in repeated lines. For exact wording, consult the official annex rather than relying on an unverified transcription.
Read Memorandum Circular No. 52 and its annex.
Where can I verify the lyrics?
Use the annex to the circular as the authoritative written source. If the extracted text is difficult to read or appears inconsistent, compare it with the annex image or an authorized audiovisual source before reproducing or teaching the words. The sources available here do not establish a composer or lyricist credit, an official sheet-music edition, or a specific authorized recording.
Who is directed to include the hymn in flag ceremonies?
Memorandum Circular No. 52 directs national government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations and educational institutions such as state universities and colleges, to integrate recital of the hymn and pledge into weekly flag ceremonies. It encourages local government units to do so. The direction is expressly subject to existing laws, rules, and regulations.
