Bad Monkey season 2 premieres on Apple TV on December 2, 2026, but season 3 has not been confirmed in the official announcement. Co-creator Bill Lawrence previously said he pitched Apple a three-season character arc; that was a creative plan, not an order for three seasons.
What Bill Lawrence said about a three-season arc
In an interview reported by 9to5Mac on October 16, 2024, Bad Monkey co-creator and executive producer Bill Lawrence described a longer-term plan for the central character:
“When I pitched it [to Apple], I had a beginning, middle and end of a three-season arc for this character, and for who he would be and where he would get to — and they were really receptive to it.”
Lawrence was describing what he pitched and Apple’s reaction to it. “Really receptive” does not mean Apple ordered all three seasons. The 9to5Mac report also discussed Carl Hiaasen’s Razor Girl as possible story material; it was not confirmation that the show would adapt that novel.

Is Bad Monkey season 3 confirmed?
No season 3 renewal, order or release date is established by Apple’s August 19, 2026 announcement. Lawrence’s three-season pitch shows that he had a larger character journey in mind, but it should not be treated as confirmation that Apple will make or release a third season.
