Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is already out. PM Studios and Nintendo UK list July 23, 2026, as its release date for the initial launch. Xbox availability came later: Paramount Games announced an Xbox Series X|S launch on September 30, although the Xbox UK storefront shows September 3.
When did Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game come out?
The game’s initial release date was July 23, 2026, according to PM Studios and the Nintendo UK listing. It is a released game, not an upcoming 2026 launch.
Xbox availability followed later. Paramount Games’ September 30 update says the game launched on Xbox Series X|S “Today,” while the Xbox UK storefront displays September 3, 2026. Those dates conflict; the available listings do not explain the discrepancy.
Which platforms can you play it on?
PM Studios lists Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam as platforms. Its initial release date and the later Xbox launch are not the same: Xbox availability came after the July 23 launch.

What kind of game is it?
PM Studios describes it as a fast-paced, one-on-one, 2D fighting game developed by Gameplay Group International and published by PM Studios. The publisher lists 12 playable fighters, support characters, a movement-focused Flow system, rollback netcode, cross-play, and a single-player story mode. These are publisher descriptions, not independent assessments of gameplay or online performance.
What modes and online features are listed?
Nintendo’s listing names Story, Arcade, Offline and Online Versus, Training, Spectator, and Art Gallery modes. It says the story was outlined by Avatar show creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Tim Hedrick.

For the Nintendo UK download version, online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, and multiplayer requires a compatible controller for each player. That UK listing gives English as the language and a 5.2 GB download size; these details apply to that listing and territory.
Are there Standard and Digital Deluxe editions?
Gameplay Group International announced a $29.99 Standard Edition price in a March 30, 2026, PlayStation Blog post. That post also gave a planned July 2 release date, later superseded by the July 23 dates listed by PM Studios and Nintendo UK. The $29.99 figure is an early announced price, not confirmation of current pricing across stores or regions.

Steam lists a Digital Deluxe Edition with the base game, a Year 1 Pass, an original soundtrack, and a digital artbook. The pass is described as adding five planned characters: Iroh, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Bolin, and the winner of a character vote. Check the relevant store for the edition and price available in your region.

Paramount’s corporate news result says a physical edition and a Nintendo Switch 2 version are planned for later in 2026. The announcement does not establish an exact release date, confirmed physical platforms or regional SKUs, edition contents, or retailer availability. A physical Nintendo Switch copy should not be treated as currently listed or available on that basis alone.
