Why is she known as Lily from Modern Family?
Anderson-Emmons joined ABC’s Modern Family as Lily Tucker-Pritchett, the daughter of Mitchell and Cameron, and became a series regular as a child. ABC’s biography says she was the youngest-ever Screen Actors Guild Award nominee and recipient at age four for her performance; that distinction is attributed to the network.

In an April 2024 ABC News interview, she recalled auditioning at four and said twins played Lily as a baby. She also described the demands of working while young: “I think people don’t realize, I was working, and if I wasn’t working on the set, that I had to do three hours of studio school a day, so I had no time to rest except lunch.” She said her mother homeschooled her between ages six and ten. These are recollections she shared in 2024, not a description of her current routine.
