Short answer: the ending never confirms that Mikasa married, and it does not name the man who appears with her in later-life imagery. Some viewers interpret him as Jean, but that remains an inference—not an officially identified spouse.
What the ending actually confirms
The manga’s final volume, volume 34, is the conclusion of the series. Kodansha’s listing identifies it as the final volume and gives its publication date as June 9, 2021: Kodansha’s volume 34 listing. The official material cited here does not name Mikasa’s later companion as her husband or explicitly state that she married.
The later-life images suggest that Mikasa may have built a family life after the main story, but they do not settle her marital status or identify a spouse. That distinction matters: an image can invite an interpretation without turning it into a stated canon fact.
Did Mikasa marry Jean?
Jean is a popular fan interpretation of the unidentified man seen with Mikasa in later-life imagery. The official sources cited here do not confirm that identification. It is therefore more accurate to say that some viewers read the image as Jean, not that Mikasa definitely married him.

Does The Last Attack reveal her husband?
No. The official anime site announced new post-credits footage for the compilation film Attack on Titan: The Last Attack on November 1, 2024, initially keeping its contents secret: the announcement of new post-credits footage. On November 9, the site identified the sequence as Attack on School Castes, a bonus gag-preview setting in which Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are childhood friends watching and discussing a movie: the official identification of the footage. It is not described as a new main-story epilogue or a marriage reveal.
The film’s later home-video release does not change what that footage is: the official anime page lists a 4K UHD Blu-ray and DVD release for January 21, 2026: the official The Last Attack home-video page.

Readers who want to revisit the conclusion can consult volume 34, the final collected volume. Kodansha announced in January 2021 that the manga would conclude in that volume, with the final chapter planned for the May 2021 issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine and the collected volume scheduled for June 9, 2021: Kodansha’s series-completion announcement.
Volume 35 / FLY is a later collector’s edition with bonus content, not a new official confirmation of Mikasa’s marriage: Kodansha U.S.’s volume 35 / FLY listing.
