ABC said the milestone represented a program with 21 Emmys, 51 professional dancers, 394 stars and 32 winners. Those figures are part of ABC’s program-history announcement, not statistics about the audience or Chigvintsev’s appearance.
What happened during the 500th-episode broadcast?
ABC’s October 31, 2024 announcement described two competition rounds. In the first, each couple paid tribute to a memorable past performance, reinterpreted for Season 33. The announced styles included Contemporary, Quickstep, Argentine Tango and Viennese Waltz.
