Contemporaneous reports identified the two Argentina supporters filmed celebrating after the 2022 World Cup final as Instagram users @Noe.Dreams1 and @milubarbiie_. PerthNow reported on 21 December 2022 that their accounts had more than 70,000 and almost 100,000 followers, respectively. Those are figures reported at the time—not verified current counts.
Who were the Argentina fans filmed at the World Cup final?
PerthNow’s 21 December 2022 report named the accounts as @Noe.Dreams1 and @milubarbiie_. A contemporaneous BroBible article described the viral search question as asking who the female Argentina fan was who took off her shirt in the front row at Lusail Stadium. The reporting identifies social-media accounts; it does not independently establish the women’s full identities.
The incident was reported in connection with celebrations after Argentina beat France in the final on 18 December 2022. PerthNow said the women had Argentina flags painted on their chests.
What did reports say about their Instagram followers?
PerthNow reported these follower figures on 21 December 2022:
| Instagram account | Figure reported by PerthNow | When reported |
|---|---|---|
| @Noe.Dreams1 | More than 70,000 followers | 21 December 2022 |
| @milubarbiie_ | Almost 100,000 followers | 21 December 2022 |
These are dated snapshots, not current account statistics. The reviewed coverage provides no measured pre-event follower counts, so it cannot establish an exact increase or growth rate behind the headline’s “skyrocket” wording.
What did the women post after the final?
PerthNow reported that Noe posted on Monday that she had made it back to Argentina. The outlet reproduced her caption as: “Whoever is world champion celebrates as he wants.” It also quoted Milubarbiie describing the tournament as her first World Cup and writing, “I‘m just falling from the end of the best trip of my life!” These are statements attributed by PerthNow to social posts, not independently recorded interviews.

BroBible’s update said both women posted videos showing they had made it home. That account is secondary reporting based on social posts, not an official travel or legal record.
What is confirmed about the legal outcome?
The reviewed reports do not establish the women’s formal legal status through an official Qatari record or a named authority. They therefore do not verify an arrest, charge, penalty, or other specific legal outcome. Reports that the women later posted about being home should not be treated as proof of a particular legal disposition.

Why did the celebration attract attention?
The final took place in Qatar, where the visible celebrations drew international coverage. In a 11 December 2022 report about Argentina supporter culture, DW quoted football fan culture expert James Montague saying: “When a South American team goes a long way in a World Cup, fans make huge sacrifices and travel in huge numbers to support them.” That offers broader context for the tournament’s traveling supporters; it does not establish why these particular women acted as they did.
