Do not treat an old article, search-result snippet, affiliate page, or working promotional URL as proof that the checkout discount remains active. The price must appear on the vendor’s current checkout page, with eligibility and renewal terms visible.
Disney+ and Hulu: the $4.99 deal expired
Disney’s official page described a 2025 Black Friday promotion offering the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle for $4.99 per month for 12 months. Disney characterized that price as a 61% monthly discount and approximately $95 in savings compared with the standard monthly price. The promotion was limited to new and eligible returning subscribers and excluded at least some current annual subscribers and customers with pending cancellations.

Disney states that the Black Friday offer stopped being valid after December 1 or December 2, 2025, depending on the applicable time zone. It should therefore be labeled expired, not presented as a live 2026 subscription deal. Disney’s official offer page also distinguishes this promotion from a separate launch offer that ran only from December 17, 2025, through January 5, 2026.
Do not confuse the later launch offer with Black Friday
The later Disney+ / Hulu / ESPN Unlimited launch promotion also included a $4.99 monthly option and described a $38.99 monthly ad-free option, but it was a separate promotion with separate dates and eligibility rules. Neither price should be merged into the 2025 Black Friday offer.
The historical $4.99 bundle was also ad-supported. Readers wanting an ad-free experience should not assume the same price or plan benefits apply. For current options, start with Disney’s official service page and review the current bundle signup information.
Billing matters too. Subscriptions purchased through Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, or another partner may have different plan-change and cancellation rules. Disney directs customers to its subscription-management guidance rather than treating every account as a direct Disney-billed subscription.

MasterClass: 50% off the first year, not forever
MasterClass’s official 2025 Black Friday terms offered 50% off the initial annual membership year. The offer could be used for personal memberships and gifts, but purchase had to be completed through the MasterClass website. Current members were generally ineligible, and purchases billed through iOS, Google, Roku, Amazon, or another third party were excluded.
The stated deadline was November 28, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. MasterClass says the discount applied only to the first year; renewal reverted to the then-current full non-promotional price. This makes the deal easy to misunderstand. A low first-year price is not a permanent subscription rate. Before joining through the official MasterClass website, check the price shown for the renewal year, the renewal date, and whether the account is eligible. A gift purchase may also have different account and renewal implications from a personal membership.
Audible: the $89 annual promotion expired
The historical Audible annual offer charged $89 for the first year and delivered 12 credits upfront. The offer page stated that it would renew at $149.50 per year after the promotional term and expired on February 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. It is not a live Black Friday deal in August or September 2026.

The upfront annual structure also had a different trade-off from a monthly plan: you paid the promotional amount immediately in exchange for the credits. Readers should not confuse a credit-based membership promotion with a sale on individual audiobook titles.
Audible’s plan lineup changed in 2026
Audible announced a Standard membership in March 2026, alongside Premium. The plans are not interchangeable:
- Standard: one audiobook per month from a defined catalog, plus unlimited listening to a curated library. Access to a selected title may not mean ownership after cancellation.

What about the “others” in the original roundup?
A broad holiday roundup cannot be updated responsibly as one block. Each named service needs its own check for the original promotion, eligibility, term length, renewal price, geography, taxes, partner billing, and cancellation rules.
