Kyle Richards denied the New Year’s Eve story that she and Mauricio Umansky had rekindled their relationship. Their family trips and friendly rapport show they remain in contact, but neither confirms a romantic reunion.
Why did Kyle and Mauricio spark rekindling rumors?
Talk picked up after the estranged spouses attended the same New Year’s Eve party in Aspen. In a Bravo report published January 29, 2026, Kyle said they were continuing a family holiday tradition and that she spent most of the party with their daughters. She described the midnight moment as a group hug with Mauricio and their daughter Farrah. These are Kyle’s recollections as reported by Bravo, not independent verification of every detail.

Kyle also said Rachel Zoe was at the event and could corroborate her account; Bravo reported that Zoe did. The gathering prompted speculation, but a shared celebration and group hug do not establish that a couple has reunited.
What did Kyle say about getting back together?
In the same After Show discussion, Kyle said, “Somebody made that story up — period,” rejecting the New Year’s Eve reconciliation story. Asked about the prospect of getting back together, she said, “But right now, I don’t feel that at all.” She added that she could not predict the future, but said, “I don’t think so,” when asked whether anything could restore her belief that reconciliation was in the cards. Those comments were reported January 29, 2026, and describe her view at that time—not a promise about what may happen later. Bravo’s January 29 report

What is their relationship now?
A Bravo update published August 6, 2026, reported Kyle saying, “We get along great.” She also said she and Mauricio had taken their daughters to Aspen for the Fourth of July. The update noted they were excited about the arrival of their first grandchild. That reporting points to continued family contact and a cordial relationship; it does not say they resumed a romantic relationship. Read Bravo’s August 6 update.
Are Kyle and Mauricio divorced?
They announced their separation in October 2023. Bravo reported in January 2026 that they had not filed for divorce at the time. An August 2026 update relayed Kyle’s March 2026 podcast comments that they were not legally separated, did not live together, and had done no paperwork then. These are time-specific accounts; they do not establish whether their legal status changed after those statements.

In a January 2026 episode account, Kyle said she had considered filing after seeing photos of Mauricio with other women, but described the decision as difficult and said they remained friends and got along. Mauricio said he had not considered filing when asked on that episode. Neither comment means that divorce papers were filed. Bravo’s episode account.
What have their family members and Mauricio said?
When asked whether the couple were back together, Kathy Hilton told Bravo on January 24, 2026: “Not that I know, personally, but you never know.” That was Kathy’s response, not confirmation of a reunion. In an earlier family conversation featured on Buying Beverly Hills, Mauricio described the possibility of separating as sad and hard. Netflix Tudum reported that conversation on March 20, 2024.
