Spoilers for all of Arcane Season 2. The season’s strongest moments are the ones that make its spectacle carry emotional weight: Vi’s closing musical callback, Ekko’s return, Mel’s transformation, the Hexcore discovery, and Sevika’s fight set to “Get Jinxed.” This is an editorial ranking, not an official or popularity-based list; it weighs emotional payoff, character change, visual storytelling, and music.
How this ranking works
Arcane is an animated series based on Riot Games’ League of Legends, co-created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and produced with Fortiche Production. You do not need to know the game to follow these scenes: their meaning comes from the show’s characters and story. Netflix frames Season 2 around the aftermath of Jinx’s attack on the Piltover council, the characters’ darker sides, and the shifting question of whether Jinx can still be Powder. Those consequences and identity conflicts shape the ranking.
The order below is a critical judgment, not a claim about audience consensus. Netflix’s features provide context for the scenes but do not publish an authoritative ranking or establish which moments are most popular.
5. Sevika’s fight, set to “Get Jinxed”
In Episode 2, a familiar tune returns during a fight scene with Sevika: “Get Jinxed,” the song written in 2013 by showrunner and co-creator Christian Linke. Its appearance makes the action more than a flashy set piece. The musical callback links the show’s present to Jinx’s earlier identity, while the energetic score gives the fight a mischievous, high-voltage charge.

#1 Best Overall
It ranks fifth because its pleasure is immediate rather than deeply transformative. The scene is a sharp example of how Arcane uses music to move between vulnerability and spectacle, but it does not reshape the season’s emotional stakes as much as the moments above it.
4. The Hexcore’s consequences come into focus
In Episode 3, Jayce, Heimerdinger, and Ekko discover the Hexcore’s depths. Jayce recognizes the consequences of the arcane technology he helped create, turning a scientific breakthrough into a moment of reckoning. Netflix’s soundtrack feature identifies “To Ashes and Blood” as the music accompanying this pivotal discovery.
Rank #2
The scene earns its place for making a complex technological threat legible as a human decision with consequences. Episode 3 also brings another fierce Jinx–Vi battle to a head, but that confrontation is a distinct scene; the Hexcore discovery stands on its own as a turning point in the season’s conflict.
3. Mel returns with a mage’s power
After her encounter with the Black Rose sorceress, Mel returns in Episode 8 with a newly revealed mage look. Production designer Arnaud-Loris Baudry described the costume as intended to be “very simple and clean” while still elegant and impressive. The design’s restraint makes the change feel deliberate: Mel’s new appearance signals a transformation without losing the composure that defines her.
The visual idea develops in Episode 9, where the shapes of Mel’s magic draw on the golden tattoos on her body. That connection between costume, character, and magic makes the reveal more than a dramatic entrance. It is a particularly strong piece of visual storytelling, though its emotional impact is quieter than the two moments ranked higher.
2. Ekko returns with the promise of defying time
Ekko’s return in Episode 9 is a character payoff expressed through design. He carries a prototype of his Z Drive and an improvised clock-hand weapon that recalls his signature bat. The costume also moves him toward his League of Legends design and visually connects him with Jinx, making the return feel rooted in both the show’s history and its wider fictional world.
Rank #4
- Arcane League Of Legends: Season Two
Baudry explained the intention behind the image: “We wanted to show the potential of the boy savior, the genius with the potential to defy time.” The line captures why the moment lands: Ekko arrives not simply as a familiar face, but as someone whose ingenuity offers a way to challenge what seems inevitable.

At the beginning of Arcane, young Powder hums “Dear Friend Across the River.” In the final moments, Vi hums the same song. Netflix’s soundtrack feature says co-composer Alex Seaver and the team approached the last notes as a closing gesture for the whole story.

That echo gives the ending its most concentrated emotional payoff. The melody bridges the sisters’ beginning and the season’s conclusion without needing to spell out what the years between them have cost. It turns a small, quiet gesture into a reflection on memory, loss, and the bond that persists beneath their changing identities. That combination of musical design and character history makes it the season’s most affecting moment.
