The Apple TV+ show behind the 2024 renewal headline is Sugar, a detective drama starring Colin Farrell as private investigator John Sugar. Apple announced Season 2 on October 2, 2024; that season has since premiered, with its eight-episode run scheduled from June 19 through August 7, 2026.
Which Apple TV+ show was renewed?
It was Sugar, Apple’s contemporary private-detective series starring Colin Farrell as John Sugar. The phrase “just renewed” referred to Apple’s announcement on October 2, 2024, not a new renewal. Apple’s renewal announcement said Farrell would return for a second season.
When did Sugar Season 2 come out?
Apple announced an eight-episode Season 2, premiering globally on June 19, 2026, with weekly episodes through August 7, 2026. Those are the dates in Apple’s January 30, 2026 schedule announcement; the run has now concluded. Availability may vary by territory, and streaming terms can change.
What is Sugar about?
The first season follows Los Angeles private detective John Sugar as he investigates the disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the granddaughter of a Hollywood producer. Apple’s February 2024 lineup announcement said the series debuted April 5, 2024, with its first three episodes, followed by weekly Friday releases.
