Its ten selections are a dated snapshot, not a verified ranking of what is hottest today. Apple’s current U.S. homepage featured Ted Lasso Season 4 when accessed on October 7, 2026, but the names in Apple’s current Top 10 chart were not available in the page text. BGR’s original list is useful as a record of those picks; it should not be mistaken for a live chart.
The ten shows in the May 2025 list
These are the programs named in BGR’s May 20, 2025 article, in its original order. The descriptions below summarize that article rather than presenting independent reviews or a current popularity ranking.
- Your Friends & Neighbors: A dark comedy about a wealthy finance professional, played by Jon Hamm, who turns to burglarizing his neighbors.
- Murderbot: A science-fiction comedy-drama about a security android that disables its governor module and reluctantly protects humans. BGR noted that the show is based on Martha Wells’s science-fiction series.
- The Studio: A Hollywood satire about creative egos, budgets, and movie development.
- Severance: A workplace thriller centered on employees whose work and personal selves are separated.
- Ted Lasso: An optimistic sports comedy. BGR described its main story arc as wrapped at the time of publication.
- Shrinking: A comedy-drama about a grieving therapist who begins breaking professional boundaries.
- Government Cheese: A drama led by David Oyelowo about an ex-con with an entrepreneurial idea and religious visions.
- Silo: A post-apocalyptic science-fiction thriller about people living underground under strict rules.
- Long Way Home: A travel docuseries following Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman on a motorcycle trip through Europe. BGR described it as a ten-episode journey across 17 countries; that itinerary and episode count are BGR’s description.
- Dope Thief: A crime series about two friends who impersonate DEA agents.

What Apple’s current chart can—and cannot—confirm
Apple’s U.S. homepage currently promotes Ted Lasso Season 4 and links to a Top 10 TV Shows collection. The chart page exposes ten ranked positions and genre labels, but the retrieved page text does not identify the titles. That means the available official page details cannot confirm whether any of the other nine 2025 picks are currently in Apple’s Top 10. Apple’s U.S. Apple TV page and its Top 10 TV Shows collection are dynamic; check the visible chart for your region if you need today’s actual ranking.

How to watch Apple TV
Apple says its subscription service is available through the Apple TV app on Apple devices, compatible smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles, Android and Windows devices, and in a web browser. An Apple TV 4K box is one option, not a requirement. See Apple’s U.S. service page for its current device and subscription details.
When Apple’s U.S. page was accessed on October 7, 2026, it listed a $14.99 monthly subscription after a seven-day trial. Apple also said an Apple TV 4K purchase could include three months of Apple TV. These are U.S.-specific terms and may change; confirm the current price, trial eligibility, and offer directly with Apple before subscribing or buying hardware. The service page describes a catalog of hundreds of exclusive shows and movies, with new releases each week.
