Major League Soccer became part of the standard Apple TV subscription for the 2026 season, replacing the separate MLS Season Pass. That means current Apple TV subscribers can watch MLS without paying for an additional sports package. The often-quoted $129 saving is not a guaranteed U.S. discount: it depends on where you live, what you previously paid, and whether you already subscribe to Apple TV.
What changed for MLS in 2026?
Through the 2025 season, MLS was sold in the Apple TV app as a separate subscription called MLS Season Pass. Starting in 2026, that standalone pass ended and MLS became part of Apple TV. Apple and MLS announced the change on November 13, 2025; Apple’s support information was published November 20, 2025. MLS’s announcement explains the new arrangement.
For the 2026 season, the included coverage spans all 30 clubs and every regular-season match—34 per team—as well as Leagues Cup, the MLS All-Star Game, Campeones Cup, MLS Cup Playoffs, and MLS studio and on-demand programming. Apple and MLS say MLS matches are available without local blackouts, subject to regional availability and service terms.
Who gets MLS access, and who may save?
People who already subscribe to Apple TV
Existing Apple TV subscribers, including eligible Apple One subscribers, receive MLS as part of their subscription. There is no separate MLS Season Pass to buy for the 2026 season.

Former MLS Season Pass subscribers
Some eligible monthly or seasonal MLS Season Pass subscribers were converted to Apple TV subscriptions in early 2026. Apple says the Apple TV price for eligible customers would be the same as or lower than their former MLS Season Pass price. If you did not have an eligible subscription, your pass expired after the 2025 season and you need Apple TV to keep watching. Check your Apple Account’s subscription settings to confirm what is active. Apple’s support page describes the transition.
Eligible MLS full-season ticket holders
Eligible 2026 full-season ticket account owners can receive one Apple TV subscription through their club—one per paid account, not one per seat. Clubs began sending redemption instructions February 12, 2026. The subscription can be shared with up to five additional family members through Family Sharing. If the activation email is missing, contact the club representative and ask for the offer link to be resent. The MLS ticket-holder FAQ has redemption details.

New subscribers and MLS-only viewers
New subscribers need an Apple TV subscription to watch MLS. Apple’s U.S. price was $12.99 per month, with a seven-day trial for new subscribers, in its July 15, 2026 update; prices and trial availability can change and vary by country. Confirm the recurring price and trial terms at checkout. Apple’s July 2026 update lists the U.S. offer.
Is the $129 saving real?
Not as a universal U.S. saving. The figure depends on the price of the former MLS Season Pass in a particular market and billing period. Current official U.S. sources establish the Apple TV price, but do not establish a universal $129 rebate or saving. This is a change in how MLS is packaged, not a cash-back offer.

The annualized $155.88 is simply 12 months at the stated U.S. monthly price; it is not an annual-plan quote. If you already pay for Apple TV through Apple One, a carrier, or another partner, check before signing up again, since duplicate subscriptions or overlapping access can complicate billing.
How to watch MLS on Apple TV
If you already have a subscription
- Open the Apple TV app and sign in with the Apple Account associated with your subscription.
- Open the MLS section or search for a match.
- Select a live match or replay.
If you are signing up
- Open the Apple TV app or visit tv.apple.com.
- Choose the Apple TV subscription option and sign in with an Apple Account.
- Review the trial, recurring price, and renewal terms shown for your country, then confirm if you want to subscribe.
- Open the MLS section in the app, or select the MLS channel tab on the web, and choose a match.
If you are redeeming a season-ticket benefit
- Find the activation email from your MLS club and open its unique link.
- Sign in with an Apple Account and complete the redemption.
- Verify the subscription under Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
A free Apple Account is enough to redeem the ticket-holder offer, but watching still requires a supported device or browser, compatible software, and an internet connection. You do not need Apple hardware: the service is available on supported smart TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation, Xbox, and web browsers, as well as Apple devices. Apple lists iOS 16.2 or later, tvOS 16.2 or later, and macOS Ventura 13.1 or later for the corresponding Apple-device experience. Availability varies by country. Apple’s MLS viewing page lists supported devices and software.

What other sports are included?
For U.S. subscribers, Apple TV also includes Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders and Formula 1 races in the United States, alongside Apple Original films, series, and documentaries. It is not a bundle of every sports service: Apple TV does not include every MLB game, NFL Sunday Ticket, NBA League Pass, NHL games, ESPN, ESPN+, Fox Sports, or other third-party subscriptions. Rentals, purchases, and third-party services in the Apple TV app may cost extra.
When is Apple TV a good fit for a sports fan?
- Best fit: MLS fans who already subscribe, eligible season-ticket holders, and viewers who also want Apple Originals, Friday Night Baseball, or U.S. Formula 1 coverage.
- Less compelling: People who want only an occasional MLS match, mainly follow sports Apple does not carry, or would need to subscribe solely for MLS.
- Before subscribing: Compare the price in your country, check whether your Apple One or partner access already includes Apple TV, and review trial expiration and auto-renewal terms.
Apple One may be worth comparing if you already pay for Apple services such as Music, iCloud+, or Arcade, but whether a bundle costs less depends on your country, tier, and existing subscriptions. Apple lists its Apple One plans.
