The TechRadar article behind the “nine” headline names only eight distinct new titles in its accessible list, so this guide covers those eight rather than inventing a ninth. It also separates new premieres from episodes of returning series.

October 3: a wildfire drama and a fairy-tale mystery
The Lost Bus
Apple’s film page gives October 3, 2025 as the Apple TV release date, following a theatrical release on September 19. The story follows bus driver Kevin McKay and teacher Mary Ludwig as they try to save 22 children from a wildfire. Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera star. Apple describes the film as “a white-knuckle ride through one of America’s deadliest wildfires”—promotional language, rather than an independent assessment. Apple TV: The Lost Bus
The Sisters Grimm
This animated fantasy-adventure adapts Michael Buckley’s book series. Orphaned sisters investigate what happened to their parents in a town where fairy-tale characters are part of everyday life. Apple announced a global premiere on October 3, making it the month’s family-oriented pick. Apple TV+ press release: The Sisters Grimm

October 10: kitchens under pressure and a prison-plane crash
Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars
TechRadar lists this food documentary series for October 10, hosted by Jesse Burgess and executive-produced by Gordon Ramsay. It follows chefs and restaurants pursuing Michelin stars, with locations including New York, Chicago, the Nordics, the UK, Mexico, Italy and California. These details and the release date are reported by TechRadar; the Apple October archive cited for this guide does not list the series.
The Last Frontier

The series premiered globally on October 10 with two episodes, then continued weekly through December 5, 2025. Apple TV+ press release: The Last Frontier
October 15: Loot returns for season 3

October 17 and 24: two documentary portraits
Mr. Scorsese

Apple TV+ press release: Mr. Scorsese

Returning shows also had new episodes
TechRadar’s article introduction also mentions new episodes of Invasion season 3, Slow Horses season 5, The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy and The Morning Show season 4. Those were continuing series, not additional distinct premiere titles in the eight-entry list, so they do not resolve the headline’s missing ninth entry.
Why the headline says nine
The accessible TechRadar article names eight distinct arrivals, while its headline promises nine; Apple’s October archive independently lists six of the titles. Neither establishes a ninth distinct title from the available information. Counting weekly episodes of continuing series as separate new shows would also misrepresent the lineup, so the defensible list is these eight named titles.
