Terry Gionoffrio learns that the Bramford’s satanic coven plans to use her pregnancy to bring the Devil into the world. At a gathering, she dances and then jumps from a window, hoping to stop the birth. The ending links her death to the young woman whose death comes before Rosemary moves into the Bramford—but, as High on Films explains it, the coven’s plans continue and Minnie and Roman look for another victim.
Who is Terry in Apartment 7A?
Set in 1965 New York, Apartment 7A is a prequel to Rosemary’s Baby, exploring what happened at the Bramford before Rosemary arrived. Paramount’s film description introduces Terry Gionoffrio, an ambitious dancer whose career is interrupted by an injury. An older, wealthy couple takes her in, and a Broadway producer offers her a new chance. As she becomes entangled with the building and its residents, Terry begins to suspect that something evil is at work.
Paramount identifies Ira Levin’s novel Rosemary’s Baby as the film’s source and Natalie Erika James as its director. Julia Garner plays Terry; the announced cast also includes Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess and Kevin McNally. Paramount announced the film as a Paramount+ original in 2024.
What happens at the end of Apartment 7A?
In High on Films’ ending explanation, Terry discovers that the Bramford’s satanic coven intends for her to carry a child they believe will bring the Devil into the world. She tries to end the pregnancy but fails. Returning to the Bramford, she confronts Alan and uncovers Roman’s role in the scheme.

At a gathering of the coven, Terry dances, then leaps from a window. The act is an attempt to prevent the child’s birth. She dies, but the explainer presents the coven’s broader plan as unresolved: Minnie and Roman will seek another victim. That reading distinguishes Terry’s immediate choice from the threat the group poses beyond her.
How does the ending connect to Rosemary’s Baby?
The connection is the Bramford and the sequence of events. Paramount describes Apartment 7A as taking place before Rosemary moves into the building. High on Films connects Terry’s fatal fall to the young woman whose death precedes Rosemary’s arrival in Rosemary’s Baby, and reads the coven’s search for another target as a bridge to Rosemary’s story.

So Apartment 7A is a prequel, not a continuation after Rosemary’s events. Terry’s fate helps establish the danger Rosemary will encounter at the Bramford. The connection between Terry and the earlier death is High on Films’ account of the ending; Paramount independently confirms the film’s pre-Rosemary setting.
