O que foi adiado — e quando
Uma notícia publicada em 20 de fevereiro de 2025 informou que a coletiva de anúncio esperada para aquele dia seria realizada na sexta-feira, 21 de fevereiro. A matéria da POPline não informou um motivo confirmado para a mudança. Outra publicação do veículo naquele dia indicava que a coletiva seria transmitida ao vivo, mas não esclarecia a causa da alteração.
Quando Lady Gaga confirmou o show
Em 21 de fevereiro, Lady Gaga confirmou uma apresentação gratuita na Praia de Copacabana para 3 de maio de 2025. O gshow reproduziu a declaração da cantora: “É uma grande honra ser convidada para cantar para o Rio—durante toda a minha carreira, os fãs no Brasil foram parte essencial do coração dos little monsters. Eu estive morrendo de vontade de me apresentar para vocês por anos e fiquei de coração partido quando precisei cancelar anos atrás porque fui hospitalizada. O fato de vocês terem compreendido que eu precisava desse tempo para me recuperar significou o mundo para mim”.
O show aconteceu em 3 de maio
A apresentação ocorreu na data anunciada. Antes do evento, a Prefeitura do Rio estimou que cerca de 1,6 milhão de pessoas compareceriam. Depois, o município informou público de 2,1 milhões. São números divulgados pela Prefeitura em momentos diferentes: o primeiro era uma estimativa prévia, e o segundo, o público informado após o show — não uma contagem auditada independente.
