Who is the Perth man compared to Drake?
PerthNow identified him as Zishaan Kerbelker, a Perth high school teacher originally from Zimbabwe. Its profile, published on 5 February 2025, described him as 36; it gave Drake’s age as 38 at that time. PerthNow’s profile appeared the day after Drake’s first Perth concert on the tour.
Why was Kerbelker at Drake’s Perth concert?
Kerbelker attended the Tuesday show with a banner saying “Drake’s twin,” hoping for an opportunity to meet the artist. His wife, Rafiah Kerbelker, told PerthNow: “We went to the concert last night and we had a banner saying Drake’s twin,”
The banner turned the resemblance joke into a playful bid for Drake’s attention; it does not establish that the two met.
Why do people compare him to Drake?
Rafiah told PerthNow that people had asked her husband for photos and autographs, and recalled the comparisons beginning about eight years earlier at a baby expo. Those are her anecdotes as reported by the newspaper, not independently counted encounters or a measured assessment of their likeness.
So “doppelgänger” is best read as the headline’s shorthand for a resemblance some people reportedly see. The article identifies Kerbelker as a lookalike; it does not provide a facial analysis or independent verification that he closely resembles Drake.
Did Kerbelker meet Drake at the after-party?
The PerthNow profile said the couple planned to try again for a photo opportunity at Drake’s official after-party at Metro City in Northbridge on Wednesday night. It reported a plan, not a confirmed meeting.

What happened to the rest of the tour?
On 26 February 2025, PerthNow reported that Drake had cancelled the remaining Australia and New Zealand dates. A representative cited a scheduling conflict and said the team was working on rescheduling. That later update came weeks after Kerbelker’s concert appearance; it does not change what the earlier profile reported about his plans. PerthNow’s cancellation report covered the later announcement.
