Ang Pambihirang Sombrero is a Filipino-English children’s picture book by Jomike Tejido, published by Adarna House. The catalogue records consulted describe a print book; they do not establish that an authorized PDF edition is available. To identify a matching copy, look for the title and ISBN 9789715081818, and check the edition and format listed by the seller or library.
What is Ang Pambihirang Sombrero?
It is a children’s picture book written and illustrated by Jomike Tejido. The National Book Development Board catalogue identifies an Adarna House edition published in 2003, in English and Filipino. Its ISBN is 9789715081818. The NBDB catalogue describes the book as a story about a girl and a magical hat that attracts her neighbors.
Catalog summaries from WorldCat and Google Books say Mia discovers a hat in her grandmother’s trunk. In the village, people add decorations to it. Toto ties the hat to a kite, carrying Mia into the sky, and she uses it as a magical parachute to get back down. These are brief catalogue descriptions, not the book’s complete text.
Is there an authorized PDF?
The catalogue records available for this title identify physical books; they do not confirm an authorized PDF edition. A file appearing on a document-sharing site is not, by itself, evidence that the publisher authorized it. If you need a digital version, check directly with Adarna House or a reputable bookseller or library and verify that the format is explicitly identified as an authorized ebook or PDF.

How to identify the right edition
- Match the title and creator. Look for Ang Pambihirang Sombrero by Jomike Tejido, also listed in English as The Amazing Hat.
- Check the ISBN. ISBN 9789715081818 is associated with the title in the NBDB and Google Books records. Google Books also lists the ISBN in its 10-digit form, 9715081819.
- Check language and format. The NBDB describes its entry as English and Filipino. A bookseller listing describes a softcover book with Filipino text and an English translation. Confirm the specific listing’s details rather than assuming every copy has the same format.
- Compare the edition and page count. Records do not agree on extent or publication metadata, so use the page count attached to the particular edition you are considering.
Why do listings give different page counts and dates?
The available catalogue records are not consistent. The NBDB catalogue describes a 2003 edition with 32 pages; Google Books gives 28 pages for its 2003 record; WorldCat notes a second edition in 2008; and the University of Santo Tomas Library has a record listed as 2024 with 30 pages. These figures should not be collapsed into one definitive page count or publication date. Treat them as details of the individual records, and compare the ISBN, edition, language, and format when evaluating a listing.
Where can you look for a copy?
Search for “Ang Pambihirang Sombrero Jomike Tejido book” and use ISBN 9789715081818 to help distinguish the title from unrelated results. A Philippine Books listing describes a new softcover edition, but a retailer’s listing does not guarantee current stock, shipping availability, or that another seller’s copy is the same edition. Check the seller’s current listing and return terms before ordering.
