Telemundo reportó que acudieron 60 personas, entre familiares cercanos y amigos. People en Español señaló que Meza y Proctor llevaban cuatro años de relación cuando se casaron.

La pareja tenía previsto casarse en octubre de 2024, pero los preparativos se vieron afectados por los huracanes Helene y Milton. En la cobertura de Telemundo, Meza explicó: “Estábamos a una semana de nuestra boda y se canceló.”

Del plan anunciado en México a la ceremonia en Florida
En una entrevista publicada por People en Español el 3 de enero de 2024, Meza había dicho que quería una boda en la playa y en México. Ese era el plan que la pareja compartía antes del enlace; las coberturas posteriores sitúan la ceremonia civil que sí se realizó en Naples, Florida. No hay que confundir la ubicación prevista inicialmente con la del evento celebrado.

People en Español contó que la celebración incluyó una serenata de mariachi en honor a las raíces mexicanas de Meza. Tras la ceremonia, Telemundo recogió estas palabras de la presentadora: “Estoy feliz, me encanta estar rodeada de las personas que tanto quiero, me encanta que por fin llegó este momento para compartir con Ryan, fue un momento súper emotivo, poner nuestros sentimientos en palabras”.
