Qualley and filmmaker and photographer Tony Wilson married over Halloween weekend at the Perch in Twin Peaks, a retreat in Lake Arrowhead, California. In Vogue Weddings’ account, Qualley called the event a “Hallo-wedding” and said the theme gave the planning a clear direction: “We knew from the beginning we wanted to have a ‘Hallo-wedding’, and leaning into the theme made the whole process exciting and focused.”
The couple wanted the gathering to feel relaxed as well as spooky. “We wanted it to feel like a big sleepover and just made it easy and cosy,” Qualley told Vogue. Guests leaned into the dress-up: the wedding party came as witches and warlocks, Qualley’s father as a skeleton, and the officiant as a vampire. “Everyone went all out,” she said. “The costumes were immaculate.”

How the bride’s look and ceremony carried the theme
Qualley wore a Mira Zwillinger dress she found at Loved Twice Bridal in Beverly Hills. She was looking for a vintage or second-hand gown that would be light enough to wear and dance in, explaining, “And I wanted a dress that was light, and easy to wear and dance in.” She wore it through the night. Lace from her mother’s antique wedding shawl was sewn into her veil, connecting the outfit to family history.
The ceremony included a hand-fasting: the couple passed a rope among attendees and used it during the ritual. The celebration continued with a vegan meal, dancing, s’mores, tarot readings and apple bobbing, according to Vogue. Evoke also reported themed cocktails named “Corpse Bride” and “‘Til Death Do Us Part.”
