Ana Hickmann and Edu Guedes got engaged in Portugal on June 27, 2024. They had announced their relationship publicly on March 12, about three months earlier—but reports say their involvement began in January, so the headline’s three-month timeframe refers to the gap between the public announcement and the proposal, not necessarily the start of their relationship.
When did Ana Hickmann and Edu Guedes get engaged?
Guedes proposed to Hickmann on June 27, 2024, during a trip to Portugal. Their press office confirmed the engagement to Gshow, saying, “o casal está muito feliz e agradece o carinho de todos os fãs” (“the couple is very happy and thanks all their fans for their affection”). The trip coincided with Guedes’s participation in Circuito Estoril. Gshow reported the engagement and confirmation on June 27.
What does “after three months of dating” mean?
The couple made their relationship public on March 12, 2024. Gshow reported that they had waited until they had spoken with their children and felt sure about the relationship before announcing it. Since the proposal came on June 27, the public-announcement-to-engagement interval was roughly three and a half months.
That is not an exact measure of how long they had been romantically involved. Gshow reported that they began getting involved in January 2024, and Guedes told SBT in an April interview that they felt something changing that month. They had also known each other as friends for more than 20 years. Gshow’s account of when their relationship began describes that earlier timeline.

How did Edu Guedes propose?
In an account reported by UOL Splash on July 4, Hickmann said Guedes gave her a letter over lunch. She said its final line asked, “PS quer casar comigo?” (“P.S. Will you marry me?”), and that she said yes. Hickmann added that she would keep the letter private. UOL Splash reported Hickmann’s description of the proposal.
How did their relationship become public?
When Hickmann announced the relationship in March, she described it as a friendship turning into love and a chance to begin again. Gshow quoted her saying: “É sobre termos um novo motivo pra sorrir, alguém pra dar a mão e ser feliz. É sobre a transformação de uma amizade em amor, cuidado e carinho. É sobre se dar uma nova chance de viver as coisas mais lindas.”
